SHOWTIME(R) TO PREMIERE SURVIVAL DRAMA "YELLOWJACKETS" ON SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 10 PM ET/PT
Trailer Released for Drama Starring Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci and Tawny Cypress, Produced by Entertainment One
LOS ANGELES - August 24, 2021 - SHOWTIME will premiere its new survival drama YELLOWJACKETS on Sunday, November 14 at 10 pm ET/PT. Created and executive produced by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson (Narcos), the 10-episode, one-hour drama series starring Melanie Lynskey (Castle Rock), Oscar(R) and Emmy(R) nominee Juliette Lewis (Camping), Emmy nominee Christina Ricci (Z: The Beginning of Everything) and Tawny Cypress (Unforgettable) is currently in production in Vancouver. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. To watch and share the trailer, visit: https://youtu.be/mX22D65TqAs.
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, YELLOWJACKETS is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they've attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
