B POSITIVE (CBS) - Linda Lavin's Norma, David Anthony Higgins's Jerry and Darryl Stephens's Gideon will return as regulars on the series this season. Additionally, Hector Elizondo will recur as Harry, "a gruff, no-nonsense resident at Valley Hills, fighting to keep his terminally-ill wife, Meredith, comfortable"; with Jane Seymour as Bette, "an aging beauty who is incapable of coming to terms with her senior status"; Ben Vereen as Peter, "a brilliant, retired professor struggling with a failing memory"; Celia Weston as Meredith, "dealing with her terminal illness as best as she can while trying to help her husband, Harry, move"; Jim Beaver as Spencer, "former NYPD transit cop, was a 9/11 first responder"; and Anna Maria Horsford as Althea Ludlum, "the no nonsense administrator of Valley Hills." (Deadline.com)
BOUNDLESS (Amazon) - Fulwell 73 has partnered with Spanish producer Elcano on the Spanish-language feature film and three-part TV drama series. Shooting wrapped in August with both projects expected to be released in 2022. Fulwell 73's Leo Pearlman and Heather Greenwood will produce alongside Elcano's Miguel Menéndez de Zubillaga with Patrick Fischer and Richard Kondal as co-producers. (THR.com)
GIRLS ON THE BUS, THE (The CW) - Julie Plec and Amy Chozick's adaptation of the latter's novel "Chasing Hillary," in which four female journalists follow a parade of flawed presidential candidates, has found a new home at The CW. The project was originally set up at Netflix in August 2019 with a production commitment, but was quietly dropped last year partially due to the "political backdrop of the series." Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and David Madden remain on board as executive producers for their Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions. (THR.com)
OLGA DIES DREAMING (Hulu) - Wanda De Jesús has booked a role on the Aubrey Plaza/Ramón Rodríguez-led drama pilot as Blanca Acevedo, "a former Young Lord turned radical activist, who is brilliant and uncompromising. From an early age she was the family contrarian, always keenly aware of injustice: in her family, in the neighborhood and the world." (Deadline.com)
PANIC (Amazon) - Executive story editor Brian Otaño has signed an overall deal with producer Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN (HBO Max) - Carson Rowland, Jordan Gonzalez, Ben Cook, Elias Kacavas and Benton Greene will all recur on the reboot series. Rowland will play Chip: "Like Tabby (Chandler Kinney), Chip is a major film buff. And he's not-so-secretly crushing on her." Gonzalez is Ash, "a handsome transgender student at Millwood High and romantic interest to Minnie (Malia Pyles)"; with Cook as Henry, "an arrogant, yet deeply talented ballerino at Millwood high and partner to Faran (Zaria)... on and off the stage." Kacavas then is Greg, "Karen's (Mallory Bechtel) picture-perfect boyfriend by day. By night, they share a secretly tumultuous relationship echoing that of Karen's own parents." And Greene is Zeke, "Faran's adoring father. Zeke struggles to navigate the hardscrabble world of the steel mill and the frilly, feminine world of ballet that his daughter inhabits." (Deadline.com)
SPRUNG (IMDb TV) - Martha Plimpton has been tapped for a season-long arc on the series as "Rooster's mom Barb, replacing Ileana Douglas, who originally was cast in the role. The decision to recast was made due to a creative change to the character." (Deadline.com)
SUPER PUMPED (Showtime) - Jon Bass has been cast as Garrett Camp, "the man with the original billion-dollar idea for Uber," in the anthology series. (Deadline.com)
TOPANGALAND (CBS, New!) - Scott Caan is attached to star in a new drama at the network in which "a laid-back ex-cop (Caan) works for his legendary father's private detective agency, solving cases that take him from Malibu mansions to Topanga hippie communes to Venice back alleys and everywhere in between - all while navigating a thorny relationship with his dad and the rest of his unconventional family." Caan will also pen the hour alongside Benjamin Cavell with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer Television also executive producing for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com)
TWENTIES (BET) - Nia Jervier will recur on the upcoming season in a yet-to-be-revealed role. (Deadline.com)
