HGTV HOME INSPECTION PRO JOE MAZZA FIXES DANGEROUS PROPERTY PROBLEMS WHILE DESIGNER NOEL GATTS COMPLETES DREAM RENOS IN 'WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT HOUSE?'

New York [July 24, 2023] Popular home inspector Joe Mazza will leave no stone unturned to find and fix dangerous property problems in HGTV's newest renovation series, What's Wrong With That House?. During the eight-episode run, premiering Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Joe and his go-to designer Noel Gatts will help clients uncover and repair any hidden issues in their homes before they take on their dream renovation. From leaky pipes and cracked foundations to broken boilers and unsafe fireplaces, Joe - a licensed home inspector with more than 20 years of construction experience - will figure out what needs to be fixed ASAP. Once the property is in tip-top shape, Noel will step in to make it beautiful. She will find creative ways to maximize each family's budget, giving them functional and stylish spaces.

"It's like detective work when I'm climbing up on a roof, digging around underneath a house or sniffing out mold," said Joe. "Making a home safe for a family is always my number one priority."

In the premiere episode, Joe and Noel will meet homeowners Jessie and Rex who have encountered several costly problems when attempting a much-needed renovation. Joe will immediately spot the cause of the property's ongoing water damage, advising to regrade the yard to prevent future flooding. Noel will see the potential in the home's exterior, leaning into its Cape Cod style and suggesting the addition of an entryway and portico with a new stone walkway. She also will tackle the cramped kitchen and living room so the family has space to gather, either for meals or around the piano. In the meantime, Joe will continue his search for structural red flags, uncovering a cracked foundation and leaky plumbing, both of which will take a bite out of the budget. Future episodes will feature fixes ranging from abating lead paint and asbestos to repairing cracked walls and sloping floors, but once Joe and Noel address every flaw, families will enjoy gorgeous, safe homes.
