The Jerry Springer Show and "Maury" Achieve Ratings Growth in Households, Key Demos and Total Viewers

"THE JERRY SPRINGER SHOW" AND "MAURY" ACHIEVE RATINGS GROWTH IN HOUSEHOLDS, KEY DEMOS AND TOTAL VIEWERS

"Access Hollywood," "Starting Over," "Blind Date" and "Fear Factor" All Improve From Previous Week

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. -- May 10, 2005 -- NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution's "The Jerry Springer Show" and "Maury" both showed positive ratings growth in households, key demos and total viewers for the week ending May 1, 2005, and in year-to-year comparisons, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Four other NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution series, "Access Hollywood," "Starting Over," "Blind Date" and "Fear Factor" all grew week-to-week in households, total viewers and key demo ratings during the most recent week.

"Maury" scored a 2.9 rating in households, up 7% from the previous week and up 4% over the same week last year and averaged 3.7 million viewers per episode, up 11% from the previous week and up 4% over the same week last year. "Maury" is also up in key women demos; Women 18-34 (2.3), up 10% from the previous week, Women 18-49 (2.1), up 5% from the previous week and Women 25-54 (2.0), up 11% from the previous week and up 5% over the same week last year.

"The Jerry Springer Show" scored a 2.4 household rating, up 14% from the previous week and up 9% over the same week last year and the series averaged 3.2 million viewers per episode, up 15% from the previous week and up 17% over the same week last year. "Springer" is also up in key women demos: Women 18-34 (1.5) up 15 from the previous week and up 25% over the same week last year, in Women 18-49 (1.4) up 17% from the previous week and up 17% over the same week last year and Women 25-54 (1.4) up 8% from the previous week and up 17% over the same week last year.

"Access Hollywood" is up 9% (2.5) from the previous week in households and up 10% from the previous week in total viewers. The series is also up in key demos from the previous week: Women 18-34 (1.3) up 8%, Women 18-49 (1.5) up 7%, Women 25-54 (1.7) up 6% and Men 25-54 (1.0) up 11%.

"Starting Over" is up 9% (1.2) from the previous week and 9% over the same week last year in households and up 3% from the previous week in total viewers. The series is also up 11% in Women 18-34 (1.0) and up 11% (1.0) in Women 18-49 over the previous week.

"Blind Date" is up 9% (1.2) in households and 5% in total viewers from the previous week while the series showed growth in Women 18-34, up 13% and Women 25-54, up 17% from the previous week.

In addition, "Fear Factor" is up 13% in households and up 9% in total viewers from the previous week and is grew in week-to-week ratings in key demos: Women 18-49, up 9% (1.2), Women 25-54 up 10%, Men 18-49 up 13% and Men 25-54 up 29% from the previous week.
