Quick Take for Tuesday, August 7, 2007 (Based on Fast Affiliate Ratings)

Building on its Lead-in and Gaining Audience Throughout its Premiere, The Series Debut of ABC News' "Primetime: Crime" Generates the Net's Top Non-Sports Numbers in the Time Period This Summer

The Series Debut of ABC News' "i-CAUGHT" Wins at 10pm Across the Adult Demos, Boosting the Hour by 2.3 Million Viewers and by 69% in Adults 18-49 Year to Year

"Primetime: Crime" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Building on its lead-in and gaining audience throughout its broadcast against established original competition on NBC ("America's Got Talent"/"Singing Bee") and CBS ("Big Brother"), the debut of ABC News' "Primetime: Crime" generated ABC's top non-sports delivery in the hour this summer among Total Viewers (7.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.2/6-tie). In fact excluding last year's pre-season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" (9/12/06), "Primetime: Crime" attracted ABC's biggest summertime series audience to the time period since September 2004 since 9/7/04. The first installment of the series looked at the brutal murders of Alan and Diane Johnson of Sun Valley, Idaho in September 2003. From start to finish, the new show gained 1.0 million viewers (6.6 million to 7.6 million) and 10% among Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 to 2.3/6).

"i-CAUGHT" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Retaining all of its young adult lead-in, the series debut of ABC News' "i-CAUGHT" won Tuesday's 10 o'clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.2/6). The new series also ranked No. 1 on its premiere telecast among Adults 18-34 (1.7/5) and Adults 25-54 (2.6/7). Anchored by Bill Weir, "i-CAUGHT" is a new ABC newsmagazine that brings viewers the real stories and the real people behind the videos that millions watch and share every day.

Compared to ABC's performance in the hour on the same evening last year (8/8/06), "i-CAUGHT" improved the time period by 2.3 million viewers (6.3 million vs. 4.0 million) and by 69% in Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 1.3/4).
