ABC'S SUMMER FUN & GAMES (ABC) - The Alphabet's summer lineup isn't expected to feature "Card Sharks," "Celebrity Dating Game," "The Hustler" or "Match Game"; while "The $100,000 Pyramid," "Celebrity Family Feud" and "Press Your Luck" are all likely to be back. "Match Game" was the longest tenured of the cut series, airing 65 episodes across five seasons; followed by "Card Sharks" (21 episodes) and "The Hustler" (19 episodes) with two seasons each; and "Celebrity Dating Game" which bowed last summer. (Variety.com)
BAD MONKEY (Apple TV+) - L. Scott Caldwell, Ronald Peet, and Charlotte Lawrence have all scored roles on the Vince Vaughn-led drama series. Caldwell will play YaYa, "the grandmother of the Dragon Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith) and a true believer in the mystical power of Andros." Peet, who's replacing Ahmed Elhaj, then is Neville, "a young, mild-mannered Bahamian fisherman who is forced into action when a mysterious businessman bulldozes his family home to start construction on a swanky resort." And Lawrence will recur as Caitlin, "a born-again former print model and recovering addict, she is the estranged daughter of drowning victim Nick Stripling." (Variety.com)
BLANK SLATE (NBC) - Dave Annable has scored a role on the drama pilot as Chris Logan, "a congressional candidate and husband to Homeland Security Agent Maya Logan (Floriana Lima)." (Deadline.com)
CALL ME KAT (FOX) - The show's April 28 installment will feature crossover appearances by "Welcome to Flatch's" Kelly (Holmes) and Shrub (Sam Straley) as well as "The Masked Singer" panelist Robin Thicke as himself. (Variety.com)
DAILYMAILTV/DOCTORS, THE (Syndication) - CBS Media Ventures reportedly plans to nix at least one of the aforementioned series from Stage 29 Productions. (Deadline.com)
FEUD (FX) - The cable channel has revived Ryan Murphy's anthology series for a second installment, "Capote's Women," starring two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts as Babe Paley "who ruled the glamorous world of New York society in the 1960s and 70s." Fellow two-time Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant and Tony and Pulitzer-nominated Jon Robin Baitz will direct and write all eight episodes, respectively, based on Laurence Leamer's bestselling book of the same name, subtitled "A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era." Baitz was behind the previously planned second installment, "Charles and Diana," originally announced back in 2017 but never materialized. (Deadline.com)
GLASS HOTEL, THE/SEA OF TRANQUILITY (HBO Max, New!) - Emily St. John Mandel will re-team with "Station Eleven's" Patrick Somerville for potential adaptations of said novels, also at the streamer. "Tranquility" is described as "a novel of art, time, love, and plague that takes the reader from Vancouver Island in 1912 to a dark colony on the moon three hundred years later, unfurling a story of humanity across centuries and space." And "Glass Hotel" is "a story of crisis and survival, greed and guilt, love and delusion. In it, Jonathan Alkaitis's billion-dollar business is really nothing more than a game of smoke and mirrors. When his scheme collapses, it obliterates countless fortunes and devastates lives." David Eisenberg, Jessica Rhoades, Scott Steindorff, Dylan Russell, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson and Scott Delman will also executive produce for Tractor Beam, Pacesetter Productions, Stone Village Television, Super Frog, Shadowfox Productions and Paramount Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
GOTHAM KNIGHTS (The CW) - Rahart Adams will fill out the cast of the DC Comics drama pilot as Brody: "Confident and charismatic, Brody's got the brains and the looks - and he knows it. However, his entitled attitude covers his insecurity and jealousy of anyone who rivals him." (Deadline.com)
NCIS: LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Richard Gant has been cast as Raymond Hanna, father of LL Cool J's Sam, on the series. He'll make his first appearance in the show's 300th installment, due on May 8: "In Gant's first episode, Sam moves in with his father to help take care of him as he struggles more and more with early-onset dementia." (TVLine.com)
PANHANDLE (Spectrum) - Forrest Goodluck, Lesley Ann Warren, Lorenza Izzo, Wallace Smith, Glenn Morshower and Melanie Minichino are the latest additions to the dramedy series. Goodluck plays Checotah, "the local delivery guy and consummate stoner, who remembers everything that everybody orders"; with Warren as Millicent Prescott, "Bell's Florida grande dame of a mother"; Izzo as Vida, "Bell's beautiful and complicated Cuban-American wife, whose family runs a rum company and who's carrying a secret of her own"; Smith as Dr. Otis, "the local doctor working in Boggsville, Florida - at least until he can pay off his student loans and open a Botox clinic in Atlanta"; Morshower as Sheriff Grant, "the Okaloosa County Sheriff and Cammie's boss"; and Minichino as Darby Hix, "an ex-stripper and the town's certified pest exterminator." (Deadline.com)
SAINT X (Hulu) - Josh Bonzie will star opposite Victoria Pedretti in the upcoming drama as Clive "Gogo" Richardson, "who we meet as a shy and clumsy but warm-hearted 20-year old, and again decades later as a hardened, changed man." (Deadline.com)
SANTA CLAUSE, THE (Disney+) - Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Austin Kane, Rupali Redd and Devin Bright have all been cast in the Tim Allen-led limited series. Allen-Dick, Tim Allen's daughter, makes her acting debut as Sandra, "the youngest child of Scott Calvin (Allen) and Carol (Elizabeth Mitchell)"; with Kane appears as Cal, "the older son of Scott Calvin and his wife Caro"; Redd as Grace, the "angelic daughter of game inventor and product developer, Simon Choksi (Kal Penn)"; and Bright as Noel, "Santa's trusted right-hand elf." (Deadline.com)
SYDNEY TO THE MAX (Disney Channel) - The network has quietly canceled the series after three seasons. (TVLine.com)
