Jennifer 'Nakomis' Dedmon Is the 11th Houseguest Officially Evicted from the 'Big Brother 5' House

[via press release from CBS]

JENNIFER "NAKOMIS" DEDMON IS THE 11TH HOUSEGUEST OFFICIALLY EVICTED FROM THE "BIG BROTHER 5" HOUSE

STUDIO CITY, CALIF., September 15 After being nominated for eviction by Drew Daniels, the 11th Head of Household, Jennifer Dedmon, aka Nakomis, was evicted last night from the BIG BROTHER 5 house.

Nakomis' half-brother, Michael Ellis, won the Power of Veto and chose not to use it, leaving Nakomis and Diane Henry on the block. Since he was the only Houseguest eligible to vote, he decided to evict Nakomis.

During last night's special live broadcast, the restaurant hostess from San Antonio, TX, learned her fate, said her good-byes and left the house. After leaving BIG BROTHER 5, Nakomis was interviewed by Julie Chen about her experience. Nakomis becomes the sixth member of the jury, joining Karen O'Neil-Ganci, Marvin Latimer, twin sisters Adria Klein and Natalie Carroll, and Will Wikle.

The three remaining HouseGuests then competed in "Earthquake," the first part of a three-part Head of Household competition. This will be the last Head of Household competition.

The perks of the position include having a luxurious private bedroom stocked with favorite foods and use of the new plasma screen to spy on the other HouseGuests, but it also includes the responsibility of having to nominate two fellow housemates for eviction. However, one of the nominees can be saved from the chopping block if they or another housemate wins the Power of Veto competition and chooses to save one of the nominees while giving themselves immunity from nomination. If they choose to use the veto, the Head of Household must immediately choose another nominee.

For more information about the aftermath of Nakomis' eviction from BIG BROTHER 5, log on to www.cbs.com and watch her live on "Housecalls: The Big Brother Talk Show" with Marcellas and Gretchen on Friday (1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT).

The winner of BIG BROTHER 5 will be announced on the season finale on Tuesday, September 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, Live ET/Delayed PT) when the seven-member jury will vote to determine which of the two remaining HouseGuests will win the grand prize.
