"COMPLETE SAVAGES" TO BE SIMULCAST ON ABC'S SUPERSIGN IN NEW YORK'S TIMES SQUARE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22

Mel Gibson Makes a Cameo Appearance in This Episode

"Complete Savages" will be simulcast on ABC's Supersign in New York City's Times Square on Friday, October 22, it was announced today. Mel Gibson makes a cameo appearance in this episode, entitled "Car Jack."

From Emmy-winning writers/executive producers Julie Thacker-Scully ("The Simpsons"), Mike Scully ("The Simpsons," "Everybody Loves Raymond") and Academy Award-winning director and producer Mel Gibson, "Complete Savages" chronicles the amusing and chaotic trials and tribulations of a father single-handedly raising five teenage boys. Think Clint Eastwood raising the Baldwin Brothers. "Complete Savages" is the rare family sitcom that doesn't have a wife to point out every week what dopes men are. These guys can do it on their own.

In "Car Jack," when Jack begs his dad to get him his own car, Nick agrees to put up half the money if Jack will raise the other half, and after a series of schemes, he finally comes up with it. Jack's Uncle Jimmy takes him to get the car, but when he comes home with a motorcycle instead, Nick is none too pleased and shows the boys a "Blood on the Highway"-type safety video... which doesn't deter Jack or his brothers one bit (Mel Gibson plays the role of the circa '70s cop in the video), on "Complete Savages," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Complete Savages" stars Keith Carradine as Nick, Andrew Eiden as Sam, Shaun Sipos as Jack, Erik von Detten as Chris, Evan Ellingson as Kyle, Jason Dolley as T.J., and Vincent Ventresca as Jimmy.

Guest-starring in "Car Jack" are Karita Cesar as Stacey, Magda Harout as woman, Mel Gibson as Officer Cox, Candace Kita as Misty and Dawn Ashley Cook as girl.

"Complete Savages" was created by Julie Thacker-Scully and Mike Scully. Julie Thacker-Scully, Mike Scully, Mel Gibson and Bruce Davey are executive producers. The series is produced by Nothing Can Go Wrong Now Productions and Icon Productions in association with NBC Universal Television.

"Complete Savages" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

This episode carries a TV-PG,L parental guideline.
