ABC's Big Red Ball Mascot Bounces Into New York City and Tampa Leading Up to "Wipeout Bowl I: Cheerleaders VS. Couch Potatoes"

ARE YOU READY FOR THE WIPEOUT BALLS?

ABC's BIG RED BALL MASCOT BOUNCES INTO NEW YORK CITY AND TAMPA LEADING UP TO "WIPEOUT BOWL I: CHEERLEADERS VS. COUCH POTATOES"

The Wipeout Balls are coming to New York City and Tampa to promote "Wipeout Bowl I: Cheerleaders vs. Couch Potatoes," which airs Sunday, February 1, during half-time and immediately following the big game.

Street teams consisting of "walking balls," accompanied by cheerleaders and couch potatoes, will literally bring the "Wipeout" obstacle course to the busy streets of New York City and Tampa January 28 � February 1. Handlers dressed as "Wipeout" contestants will be decked out in helmets, knee pads and splashed with mud. In addition the contestants, couch potatoes and cheerleaders will be wearing special vests that have portable video monitors running "Wipeout" promos. Street teams will be handing out "Wipeout" tees and branded balls.

Ready, set, hike! Just in time for the nation's most highly anticipated football game of the year, it's going to be the wildest "Wipeout" ever when 13 lively cheerleaders try to blitz 13 couch potato guys in a special football-inspired edition of the hit summer series � "Wipeout Bowl I: Cheerleaders vs. Couch Potatoes." It's hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson ("Talk Soup"), Jill Wagner and special guest sideline reporter Michael Irvin (former Dallas Cowboy and NFL Hall of Fame member). Switch over to ABC and watch "Wipeout Bowl I: Cheerleaders vs. Couch Potatoes" airing SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1 during half-time and continuing with more hilarious antics immediately following the big game.
