BUCKLE UP FOR NEW TRAVEL CHANNEL REALITY COMPETITION, 'AMERICA'S WORST DRIVER,' AS A CITY IS DISCOVERED THROUGH ITS CHAOTIC STREETS

--Contestants from Eight Notoriously Difficult Driving Cities Across the US Compete for the Infamous title of 'America's Worst Driver'--

(Chevy Chase, MD) Exploring a city by car is one of the most universal American travel experiences. Travelers, however, sometimes get more than they bargained for when facing bad drivers and crazy city streets. On March 14 at 10PM, with premieres thru May 9, new Travel Channel series, AMERICA'S WORST DRIVER, revs up to explore eight of these infamous American cities. In each destination, bad drivers, nominated by friends and family, compete in various driving challenges to identify the worst local driver. The participant earning the distinction of the worst from each city will watch as their car is destroyed before moving on to the finale and a chance to earn the title of AMERICA'S WORST DRIVER.

In each city, four teams of two take to the streets for a series of competitions. Part tourist, part contestant, teams from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, New York City, Miami, and Dallas compete in various closed and open course challenges that put the drivers' skills to the test.

Closed course obstacles include a giant teeter totter, water tank car, hub cap course and other hilarious hazard challenges. During the open destination courses, city streets become the drivers' worst nightmare, as they are tasked to complete iconic challenges representative of their cities. Driving along the historic Freedom Trail and delivering New England Clam Chowder in Boston, balancing a five tier wedding cake while driving down the busy streets of New York City, delivering twelve deep dish pizzas in Chicago, and navigating through the streets of Dallas with a bucket of BBQ sauce and five pounds of ribs in the passenger seat are just a few of the precarious tasks in store for the contestants.

Each challenge tests a driver's ability to focus while dealing with distraction and stress, a task that anyone behind the wheel should focus on improving.

Throughout the competition teams are monitored by off-duty police officers, ensuring everyone's safety and penalizing contestants for traffic violations. These errors incur negative points and a higher chance of receiving the infamous crown. Superior driving is a plus, as winners from each location are eliminated. Being booted from AMERICA'S WORST DRIVER is a good thing, as contestant's cars are spared from destruction and prizes are received.

Teams are joined by new Travel Channel hosts, Alonzo Bodden and Jill Simonian, two car enthusiasts navigating the twists and turns of this bumpy thrill ride. Bodden loves high-speed vehicles and is often found driving in the fast lane. He turns to his motorcycle when it comes to pure escape and beating the traffic. Simonian has a love for hot cars and grew up listening to the sound of roaring engines in the family garage. Bodden and Simonian guide contestants through the combat sport of driving, while providing driving tips along the way.
