ADOPTED FAMILY (CBS, New!) - Actor/writer Josh Gad ("The Daily Show With Jon Stewart") has booked a new comedy at the Eye about a man who "discovers his new wife has a daughter he didn't know existed." CBS Television Studios is behind the multi-camera project, which Gad will write and executive produce.


BROTHERS & SISTERS (ABC) - Celebrated actor Richard Chamberlain is set to recur on the veteran soap. He'll play "someone who comes back from Saul's (Ron Rifkin) past and complicates things for him in ways he can't expect" in a multi-episode arc due later this season.


THE FRAN DRESCHER SHOW (Syndication, New!) - Fran Drescher ("The Nanny") is set to host a new talk show for distributor Debmar-Mercury. A three-week test run of the series is set to premiere November 26 on six Fox owned-and-operated stations: WNYW New York, KTTV Los Angeles, WTXF Philadelphia, KSAZ Phoenix, KMSP Minneapolis and WOFL Orlando. Said project comes on the heels of similar tests for syndicated talk shows from Craig Kilborn and Mike Huckabee. No other specifics were given about the show's format, other than it will tape in Los Angeles.


KEVIN'S LIFE WITH WOMEN/UNDERSTANDING TODAY'S MAN (ABC, New!) - Brian Bradley and Steven Cragg ("MadTV") have booked a pair of comedies at the Alphabet: "Kevin's Life With Women," about "three sisters who must come together and help raise their 16-year-old younger brother after their mother dies", and "Understanding Today's Men," about "four men at different stages of relationships - including single and married." Both single-camera projects are set up at ABC Studios where the pair have an overall deal.


ROOKIES (CBS, New!) - Novelist/screenwriter Richard Price ("Mad Dog and Glory") has sold a new drama to the Eye about "a team of six freshman cops who are sent into high-crime trouble spots." Said hour is set up at CBS Television Studios and Robert De Niro's studio-based Tribeca Productions with De Niro, Price and Jane Rosenthal executive producing. No other details were given.


SIRINGO (CBS, New!) - Trey Callaway ("CSI: NY") has landed a new drama at the network "based on the life of cowboy Charlie Siringo, a Pinkerton Agency operative who uses investigative techniques and his own instincts to catch crooks in late-1800s Old West." He'll pen the script for CBS Television Studios and executive produce alongside Mace Neufeld ("Invictus").


TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN (A.K.A. CATCH ME) (ABC) - The Alphabet has ordered six episodes of the Bertram van Munster/Jerry Bruckheimer-produced project, "a high-stakes reality series that blends the reality brand of 'Amazing Race' chief van Munster with the crime-solving brand of Bruckheimer to answer the question: can you commit the perfect crime and get away with it?" No specifics however were given about the Warner Horizon Television-based effort, formerly known as "Catch Me." Bruckheimer, van Munster, Elise Doganieri, Jonathan Littman and Philip Morrow are the executive producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Television, Profiles Television and Wild Rover Productions. KristieAnne Reed and Mark Dziak will serve as co-executive producers.


UNDERCOVER KARAOKE (TBS, New!) - Eric Appel, Mike Farah and Chris Henchy are developing a new hidden-camera series for the cable channel which features "celebrities disguised as regular people going to everyday events where they perform as the superstars they really are." The half-hour project is based on the trio's Funny or Die video of the same name, starring Jewel, which generated 2.5 million views in its first 3 days. Funny or Die will produce the pilot internally for Henchy, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions.


UNTITLED ED BURNS PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Actor/filmmaker Ed Burns is developing a new single-camera comedy at the Alphabet, which "centers on two guys whose lives are disrupted when the bully from their childhood moves in between them." Aaron Lubin and Peter Traugott are likewise on board to executive produce the half-hour for ABC Studios and Brillstein Entertainment.


UNTITLED JESSICA GOLDSTEIN/CHRISSY PIETROSH PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein ("Cougar Town") have booked a new comedy at the network. Details about the project however weren't specified. The pair will write and executive produce the half-hour for Mark Gordon and Andrea Shay via the latter's ABC Studios-based Mark Gordon Co.
