THE MAKERY (The CW, New!) - Newcomer Jason Benoit has sold a hybrid comedy to the netlet which "explores the life experiences of a group of 20-somethings in today's tech-driven, entrepreneurial generation through the eyes of Ky Harrel and her sex and relationships column." Yellow Brick Road's Teri Weinberg and Aversano Films' Scott Aversano are executive producing the half-hour alongside Benoit. (Deadline.com)
MOVE OVER (FOX, New!) - Timothy Stack ("Raising Hope") has booked a potential comedy at the network about "a couple in their late 20s who divorce and find themselves in need of living together in the same apartment due to the financial crisis." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the half-hour, which Stack will write and executive produce. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - William deVry has booked a six-episode arc on "Nikita" as "the keeper of secrets and a very important pawn in the game of espionage" (TVLine.com); Clark Duke will guest on "New Girl" as an unpaid intern who works for Julia (Lizzy Caplan), Nick's (Jake Johnson) new love interest (TVLine.com); Seth Green and Matthew Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Productions has partnered with John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner's Buddy Systems to form Buddy Stoodios, a stop-motion animation production facility, ending their relationship with ShadowMachine Films (Deadline.com); plus CBS has dropped the exclamation points from the title of midseason comedy "Rob" while drama "The 2-2" has now been dubbed "NYC 22".
