HUNTED (Cinemax) - Writer Frank Spotnitz and actress Melissa George are looking to reteam for a four-hour follow-up to their short-lived Cinemax drama. The mini-series would see George reprising her role as Sam, "a gutsy agent in the murky world of private espionage. Now on the run from her former employer, Sam has a price on her head and a young daughter to protect. She must work as a freelance spy to find out who wants her dead - and how it connects to the murder of her own mother." Kudos Film and Television is behind the project with Spotnitz, Jane Featherstone, Stephen Garrett and Alison Jackson executive producing. Co-producer BBC One pulled the plug on the series in November, leaving Kudos the option to set up its own incarnation at Cinemax. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED DAVID CROSS PROJECT (Showtime, New!) - Comedian David Cross has sold a potential comedy to the pay channel about "a modestly successful travel writer who struggles to keep his families happy and satisfied. Oh, and also from finding out about each other's existence." He'll write and executive produce the half-hour via his Liberal Jew-Run Media Productions banner however is not currently attached to star. Tim Sarkes of Brillstein Entertainment will also serve as executive producer. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - James Laio and Tawny Cypress have been upped to series regulars on the new season of "Unforgettable" (Deadline.com); Zuleikha Robinson will recur on "Covert Affairs" as "a D.C. power player who is one of the capitol's most formidable defense attorneys" (Deadline.com); and Stacy Haiduk is bound for "Twisted" as "a tough but attractive investigator at a private security firm, who is hired by the mayor to help with the investigation of Regina's murder" (THR.com).
