BLINDSPOT (NBC) - Garret Dillahunt will drop by the show's April 5 episode as Travis, "an Iraq war veteran who spent years running from his problems and is now suffering the consequences. On a chance encounter with Special Agent Reade (Rob Brown), the two men bond, and Travis encourages Reade not to make the same mistakes." (EW.com)
HOME BEFORE DAYLIGHT (Amazon, New!) - Jonathan Herman (Straight Outta Compton) is spearheading a small screen take on longtime Grateful Dead roadie Steve Parish's book of the same name, subtitled "My Life on the Road with the Grateful Dead." Said effort would follow "a band of musical misfits who came of age during the apex of the 1960s San Francisco counter-culture movement. They toured almost non-stop for three decades, and became one of the most legendary American bands in rock history." Grateful Dead co-founder Bob Weir and Bernie Cahill will executive produce alongside Herman and Parish with Stephen Emery as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
LINDA FROM HR (FOX) - Michael Landes has been tapped for a role on the Lauren Graham-led comedy pilot as Linda's husband Dan Plugh, "an average guy who can't help but win people over." Said role, originally played by Tim DeKay, is being recast following the table read. Also confirmed for the project is Kylie Rogers as their daughter, Alex. (Deadline.com)
LIVING BIBLICALLY (CBS) - Jay R. Ferguson and Lindsey Kraft have scored the lead roles on the comedy pilot, about a modern-day man at a crossroads in his life who decides to live according to the Bible. He'll play Chip, "a lapsed Catholic who recently lost his best friend and is about to become a father. Chip puts his amiable yet obsessive temperament to use when he starts living his life 100% by the Bible to find direction." Said role is in second position to "The Real O'Neals." Kraft then is set as Chip's wife Leslie: "Sarcastic, smart, cool, and pregnant, Leslie wants her husband Chip to be better, but is wary as his obsessions can get the best of him. She is both skeptical of and entertained by his passion to live by the Bible, but ultimately supports the experiment." Additionally, Andy Ackerman has been confirmed as directing. (Deadline.com)
SHARP OBJECTS (HBO) - Will Chase, Jackson Hurst and Jennifer Aspen have all snagged roles in the Amy Adams-led drama. Chase will play Bob Nash, "the hot tempered father of Ann Nash, Wind Gap's first murder victim." Hurst then is on board as Kirk Lacey, "a man with big dreams who got stuck in his small town, a place which reminds him of his futility and a shameful incident from his past"; with Aspen as Jeannie Keene, "the mother of John and Natalie Keene."
