EXORCIST, THE (FOX) - Li Jun Li is the latest bound for the new season as Rose, "a social worker assigned to the group home run by Andrew Kim (John Cho). She is a by-the-books rule follower who arrives to investigate whether Andy is still capable of caring for the children without a maternal figure in the home." (Deadline.com)
FOR THE PEOPLE (ABC) - Britt Robertson has joined the cast of the midseason drama as Sandra, "a sensible, fiercely intelligent and independent new public defender who was driven to the law because of an injustice perpetrated on her family when she was a child." She replaces Britne Oldford from the original pilot. (Deadline.com)
HAPPY! (Syfy) - Medina Senghore has joined the cast of the upcoming drama as Amanda, "a single mother whose 8-year-old daughter, Hailey, is kidnapped." (Deadline.com)
HARMONQUEST (Seeso) - The streaming service has quietly pulled the second season launch on the eve of its previously announced premiere. (@HarmonQuest)
MIDNIGHT, TEXAS (NBC) - Breeda Wool will guest on the summer drama as Bowie, "a regal, formidable angel warrior." (TVLine.com)
NIGHT SHIFT, THE (NBC) - Rachelle Lefevre and Missy Peregrym will both drop by the show's fourth season finale as Major Natasha Anthony, "a new military doctor coming into San Antonio Memorial Hospital"; and Reagan, "a female Ranger who comes in as a paramedic and clashes with Drew (Brendan Fehr)," respectively. (THR.com)
SHOOTER (USA) - The cable channel has opted to wrap production on the show's second season after eight episodes instead of 10. Said decision comes on the heels of last week's off-set injury suffered by series star Ryan Phillippe. While not the original plan, "a natural story point in episode 208 [works] as a season finale." (Deadline.com)
SIX (History) - Jaylen Moore's Armin "Fishbait" Khan has been promoted to series regular while Nikolai Nikolaeff has joined the cast as Tamerlin Shishoni, "a charismatic and ruthless Chechen/Jihadi mastermind." Additionally, Katherine Evans is slated to recur as Marissa, "a young woman who finds herself at odds with the Seal Team." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GREY'S ANATOMY SPIN-OFF (ABC) - Jaina Lee Ortiz is the first to be cast in the proposed spin-off, about a group of heroic firefighters in a Seattle firehouse. No details about her character were given. (Deadline.com)
