(Deadline.com)
BLACK WIDOWS (ABC, New!) - Caroline Dries has sold a new drama to the Alphabet about "three wives and best friends trapped in abusive marriages to husbands who all work at the same company. (Variety.com)
BLESS THIS MESS (FOX, New!) - "New Girl" creator Liz Meriwether and actress/filmmaker Lake Bell are set to team for a new single-camera comedy at the network about "a newlywed couple (half of it played by Bell) that gives up their drab and unfulfilling lives in NYC and moves to Nebraska to live a simpler life. It doesn't work out like they planned." Bell will likewise direct from a script by the pair as well as executive produce alongside Katherine Pope for 20th Century Fox Television, where it has a pilot production commitment. (Deadline.com)
DEADLIER THAN THE MALE (TNT) - Houda Benyamina has been tapped to direct and executive produce the drama pilot, a challenging and morally complex thriller about three damaged people trying to start over. (Deadline.com)
RECALL (CBS, New!) - "Limitless" alums Craig Sweeny, Marc Webb, Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin are back in business with the Eye for a new drama in which "the NSA assembles a group of investigators to make use of the agency's newest tool: a machine that allows the user direct access to the memories of witnesses, victims, and suspects - but the detectives must resist the temptation to use the device on themselves." Webb will direct from a script by Sweeny, with all four executive producing via the CBS Television Studios-based Secret Hideout. (Deadline.com)
RISE (NBC) - Diallo Riddle is set to recur on the midseason drama as Andy Kranepool, "a quirky high school science teacher who carries a torch for Tracey (Rosie Perez)." (Deadline.com)
SURVIVOR'S REMORSE (Starz) - The pay channel has revealed Sunday's two-episode season finale will in fact be the show's swan song. "We have been fortunate to work with incredible talents like Mike O'Malley, the executive producers and our cast on this very special show for four seasons," Chris Albrecht said in a statement. "While this may be the end of the Calloways' story, we do believe that the themes Survivor's Remorse confronted over the seasons, through a unique mix of humor and sober observation, will be appreciated for the insightful, heartfelt way they were addressed. We are proud of the show." (THR.com)
UNTITLED LAVENDER & ULIN PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin ("Nashville") have scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a new drama about "a couple. After twenty years of marriage, they try to reignite their passion and strengthen their family by starting over in paradise on earth: Hawaii. They move their two teenage kids to the island of tourist fantasies, but the reality of paradise is not all sun, surf, and sex on the beach - dark family secrets, a complicated social structure they don't understand, old mistakes, and messy new relationships threaten to tear the Campbell family apart, even as they struggle to find their way back to each other." Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar will also executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
