ALL HER WITH ANGELA RYE (Quibi, New!) - Angela Rye will host a five-part docuseries on the streaming service which puts "a well-deserved spotlight on the amazing women in this country creating change with their voices and actions." SoulPancake, Overbrook Entertainment and 206 Productions are behind the project with Rye executive producing alongside Mikael Moore, Golriz Lucina, James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Clarence Hammond. Co-producers are Ahmadou Seck and Hakeem Allen. (Deadline.com)
BIRCH, THE (Facebook Watch) - Amanda Brooks, Jordyn Dinatale, Nikko Austen Smith and Samuel Taylor are bound for the show's sophomore run, due in early 2021. Returning cast members include Xaria Dotson, Anthony Melton, Ben Franklin, Cliff Wallace, Dempsey Bryk, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Sheaden Gabriel, Jy Prishkulnik and Brady Romberg. (Deadline.com)
BLACK-ISH/MIXED-ISH (ABC) - Tracee Ellis Ross has signed a multi-year overall deal with the shows' producer ABC Signature. There she'll develop new series projects via her Joy Mill Entertainment banner. (Deadline.com)
CONNERS, THE (ABC) - Jay R. Ferguson's Ben will return for the show's third season as a series regular. (TVLine.com)
DOPESICK (Hulu) - Will Poulter is the latest addition to the Michael Keaton-led limited series as Billy, "a sales rep for Purdue Pharma hired to help launch their new drug OxyContin." (Deadline.com)
MARVEL'S SHE-HULK (Disney+) - Kat Coiro has signed on as a director/executive producer of the upcoming series. She'll helm the project's debut installment as well as several other episodes. (Deadline.com)
OCEAN VILLAGE (FOX, New!) - Daniel Cardenas Katz has booked a potential animated series at the network about "the Diaz family as they navigate life in a sun-baked tropical village based on the Florida island where series creator Katz grew up, and experienced his first iguana attack. The Diazes are part-immigrant, blended, multi-cultural, and trying to get by in what would be paradise if it wasn't for the raccoon gangs, beach bums, crusty retirees and mosquitos the size of cats." The project was previously set up at Hulu and has since been redeveloped by FOX with a second script along with an animatic presentation. Tim Saccardo, Josh Bowen, Dan Lubetkin and Nick Weidenfeld will also executive produce for FOX Entertainment, Blue Ant Studios and Bento Box Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (NBC) - Beck Bennett, Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseñor and Bowen Yang are all slated to return for the upcoming 46th season. They'll be joined by Ego Nwodim, who was upped to a repertory player as previously announced. (Deadline.com)
UNDONE BY BLOOD (AMC, New!) - Norman Reedus is developing a TV series take on the Aftershock Comics' title, billed as "a new spin on the Western genre," at the cable channel. Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler will pen the script and co-executive produce. The project is the result of a new two-year, first-look deal between AMC Studios and Reedus's new Big Bald Head banner with JoAnne Colonna and Amanda Verdon. Said trio will executive produce "Blood" alongside Aftershock's Jon Kramer and Lee Kramer. Reedus is expected to have an on-camera role should it move forward. (Deadline.com)
UNITED WE FALL (ABC) - The Alphabet has opted to pull the plug on the summer entry, which completed its eight-episode run last month. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JULIA CHILD PROJECT (HBO Max) - Emmy-winner David Hyde Pierce has signed onto the streaming service's Sarah Lancashire-led pilot about the famous chef and TV personality. He'll play Paul Child, Julia's loving and devoted husband. Tom Hollander was originally cast in the role but had to bow out due to the project's "scheduling change as well as COVID travel-related circumstances." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED RAW TV PROJECT (TNT, New!) - Raw TV has landed a new documentary series at the cable channel which "involves schadenfreude and people that have everything to lose and ties in with some of the Hollywood movies that TNT airs." No auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
