ANANSI BOYS (Amazon) - Delroy Lindo is the first to be cast in the six-episode limited series as Mr. Nancy a.k.a. Anansi. (Deadline.com)
AND JUST LIKE THAT... (HBO Max) - Isaac Powell has joined the cast of the "Sex and the City" revival as George, "a student at the famed Fashion Institute of Technology who is unconstrained by fashion/gender norms. He's described as having a calm demeanor and self-processed energy beyond his young years." (Deadline.com)
BETTER CALL SAUL (AMC) - Star Bob Odenkirk has been confirmed as "in stable condition after suffering what was termed as a 'heart related incident' on the show's New Mexico set Tuesday night." (Deadline.com)
BIG LEAP, THE (FOX) - Adam Kaplan, Tom Lennon and Robert Wisdom are slated to recur on the newcomer. Kaplan will play Simon Lovewell, "Brittney's (Anna Grace Barlow) twin. He is a talented dancer, has confidence to spare, and like his sister, is wildly ambitious. He's comfortable in his queerness and likes to challenge expectations about gender in both his attitude and appearance." Lennon then is Zach Peterman, "the president of unscripted programming at the network. His ever-shifting demands put Nick (Scott Foley) under constant pressure." And Robert Wisdom is Earl, "father to Justin (Ray Cham). He is an old school, conservative, blue collar who wants to connect with his gay son, but does not know how." (Deadline.com)
FLEDGLING (HBO, New!) - Sonya Winton-Odamtten and Jonathan I. Kidd are developing a small screen take on Octavia Butler's novel, "the story of an apparently amnesiac young girl whose alarmingly inhuman needs and abilities lead her to a startling conclusion: She is in fact a genetically modified, 53-year-old vampire. Forced to discover what she can about her stolen former life, she must at the same time learn who wanted - and still wants - to destroy her and those she cares for and how she can save herself." Issa Rae and Montrel McKay of Hoorae; and J.J. Abrams and Ben Stephenson of Bad Robot will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television with Rachel Rusch Rich, Sara Rastogi and Ray Ricord as co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)
FROM (Epix) - The sci-fi horror series has cast Shaun Majumder as Father Khatri, who "cares for the spirits of the townsfolk"; Avery Konrad as Sara, "a true wildcard among the town's residents"; Hannah Cheramy as Julie, the daughter of Jim (Eion Bailey) and Tabitha Matthews (Sandino Moreno)"; Simon Webster as Ethan, "the younger brother of Julie Matthews (Cheramy), and the son of Jim and Tabitha"; Ricky He as Kenny, "Sheriff Boyd's deputy, a first-generation immigrant trapped in this town with his parents"; Chloe Van Landschoot as Kristi, "who was trapped in town during her 3rd year of med school and has assumed the role of town medic"; and Pegah Ghafoori as Fatima, "a resident of Colony House and an Iranian immigrant to the US." HORROR NOIRE (Shudder) - The upcoming horror anthology - which will feature six stories presented together as a two-hour film - has cast Lesley-Ann Brandt, Luke James, Erica Ash, Brandon Mychal Smith, Sean Patrick Thomas, Peter Stormare, Malcolm Barrett, Rachel True, Tone Bell, Lavell Crawford, Tony Todd, Nathaniel Logan McIntyre and Lenora Crichlow in yet-to-be-revealed roles. LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME (NBC) - Dylan McDermott has closed a deal to reprise his role of Richard Wheatley in a major recurring arc in the upcoming second season. (Deadline.com)
