ANNIE LIVE! (NBC) - Former WarnerMedia Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt has signed a first-look deal with Lionsgate Television. The studio will get first crack at his new production company's, The Green Room, output. Greenblatt is currently executive producing the upcoming musical at NBC. (Variety.com)
BIG SKY (ABC) - Janina Gavankar has joined the cast of the show's second season as Ren, "who is new to Helena. After a simple business transaction results in a messy car wreck involving one of her employees, Ren comes to town hellbent on getting answers. Now she must find out who betrayed her, but the more rocks she overturns, the more snakes she will discover. Ren's moves are calculated, and she strongly believes that it is best to keep your enemies close, which might spell bad news for Dewell & Hoyt." (Deadline.com)
BMF (Starz) - Eminem is set to make a cameo as White Boy Rick, "the infamous Detroit teenager turned undercover FBI informant," on the series. (Deadline.com)
CARPOOL KARAOKE: THE SERIES (Apple TV+, New!) - Apple Music's staple, hosted by James Corden and based on his viral segment from "The Late Late Show With James Corden," will migrate to Apple TV+ for its fifth season. Each episode "features a different group of stars across television, film, music, sports and pop culture belting out their favorite songs during a road trip that mixes comedy, conversation and music." Corden and Ben Winston are the creators and executive producers with Eric Pankowski also executive producing for CBS Studios and Fulwell 73. (Deadline.com)
CONNERS, THE (ABC) - Jason Alexander is bound for two episodes of the upcoming season as Pastor Phil, "an unconventional cleric with a rebel past, who uses humor and unflinching honesty to spread the good word. The Pastor will encounter Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and Becky (Alicia Goranson) at an AA meeting where he is speaker of the night, finding that Becky is looking to him for spiritual guidance." EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE OKAY (Freeform) - Creator/star Josh Thomas took to Twitter with the news the cable channel has canceled his series after two seasons. (@JoshThomas87)
EXCITING TIMES (Amazon, New!) - Phoebe Dynevor is attached to star and executive produce a small screen take on Irish writer Naoise Dolan's debut novel, about Ava, "an Irish transplant abroad teaching English grammar to wealthy children, who becomes entangled in a love triangle with banker Julian and lawyer Edith." Black Bear Pictures is behind the project with Cooper Raiff co-writing the TV adaptation with Dolan and also slated to direct. Dynevor, Dolan and Raiff executive produce alongside Teddy Schwarzman, Ben Stillman and Michael Heimler with Clementine Quittner and Sleena Wilson serving as co-producers. (Deadline.com)
MOONHAVEN (AMC) - Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy have been tapped to direct the first two episodes of the sci-fi series. (Variety.com)
PAPER GIRLS/THEM/WOMEN OF THE YEAR (Amazon) - Amazon Studios development executive Steven Prinz is exiting his role to join said series as an executive producer, as well as sign a first-look feature deal with the company. (Deadline.com)
QUEER AS FOLK (Peacock) - The reboot series has cast James Keitel as "a trans, semi-reformed party girl who is struggling to grow up." (Variety.com)
REAL HOUSEWIVES OF DALLAS, THE (Bravo) - The cable channel currently has no plans to order a sixth season of the series, which has "proved to be controversial after an old video of [Brandi] Redmond was unearthed where she mocked Asian Americans." "There are currently no plans to bring 'The Real Housewives of Dallas' back next year, and beyond that, nothing official has been decided," the network said in a statement. (Deadline.com)
SUPERMAN & LOIS (The CW) - Tayler Buck - who recurs as Natalie Irons, "John Henry's daughter via the Lois of his own Earth" - will return as a regular for the show's second season. (TVLine.com)
