FOX SPORTS ROLLS INTO ITS 24TH WORLD SERIES

Buck Ties McCarver for Most Appearances in World Series Booth

Rodriguez, Ortiz, Thomas and Burkhardt Anchor FOX Sports' Studio Coverage of the 117th Fall Classic

FOX Sports Digital Content Expands, Includes Ben Verlander On-Location and Live In-Stadium Postgame Show

LOS ANGELES - The Fall Classic returns with FOX Sports taking center stage as it broadcasts its 24th World Series. The action begins Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 8:00 PM ET on FOX and FOX Deportes as the Atlanta Braves take on the Houston Astros. Emmy Award winner Joe Buck heads to the booth for the 22nd consecutive time and 24th overall, tying him with Tim McCarver for the most World Series network television appearances of all-time.

Buck is joined by Hall-of-Famer, World Series champ and fellow Emmy winner John Smoltz, as Emmy Award-winning writers Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci report from the field.

"I worked with Tim for 18 years," Buck said. "In 1996 he gave me instant credibility at 27 years old on a national stage when I was not yet deserving of it. I became a first-time dad that same year. I truly became a man both on and off the air during my time with him and I am forever indebted for his guidance during that time on both counts. We remain dear friends to this day, and not a game goes by in October that I don't think of him."

Host Kevin Burkhardt anchors the FOX Sports on-site studio pregame and postgame desk for the Emmy Award-winning team that includes Hall of Famer Frank Thomas and World Series champions Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz, who was named World Series MVP in 2013.

The entire World Series is available in 4K HDR through the FOX NOW and FOX Sports apps to subscribers of most pay TV providers. FOX Sports 4K also is available from select partners including Xfinity, DIRECTV, DISH, Verizon FiOS, Optimum, Cox Contour TV, Fubo TV, YouTube TV, and others (check local listings).
