During the week of October 2, 2006, ABC won its third week in a row among key Adult 18-49 sales demographic (4.0/11), beating out second-place CBS by 5% (3.8/10), third-place NBC by 11% (3.6/10) and fourth-place Fox by 48% (2.7/8). ABC also won the week among Adults 18-34, by 10% over second place NBC (3.3/10 vs. 3.0/9), and was the network leader across each of the women demographics: W18-34 (4.4/13), W18-49 (5.2/14) & W25-54 (6.1/15). Disney-owned ABC was again the highest-rated broadcaster for the week with Teens 12-17 (1.9/7) and Kids 2-11 (1.3/6). ABC delivered the No. 1 network position with Adults 18-49 on 4 of 7 nights (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday).

� Even without the advantage of �Monday Night Football� in the averages this year, ABC increased its overall Total Viewer count for the third consecutive week (+4% - 11.3 million vs. 10.9 million) from the year ago week (w/o 10/3/05). ABC matched its delivery in the same week last year with Adults 18-34, while posting increases across each of the women demographics (W18-34 +16%, W18-49 +11% & W25-54 +11%).

� Excluding sports from the averages from the season averages to adjust for the loss of �MNF,� ABC is up this season by 1.6 million viewers (12.5 million vs. 10.9 million) and 10% in Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 4.0/11) over the first three weeks of last season.

� ABC has emerged this season as the No. 1 English language broadcaster among Hispanic viewers: During the first three weeks of the 2006-07 TV Season, ABC leads its nearest competitor (Fox) by 5% in Total Viewers (622,000 vs. 593,000) and by 27% in Adults 18-49 (1.9/6 vs. 1.5/4). ABC claims 7 of the Top 10 highest-rated English language TV series so far this season among Adults18-49: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1, �Desperate Housewives� � No. 2, �Ugly Betty� � No. 3, �Dancing with the Stars� � No. 4, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 6, �Lost� � No. 8 and �Brothers & Sisters� � No. 10. ABC also airs the Top 4 most-watched English language programs among Hispanic viewers: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1, �Dancing with the Stars� � No. 2, �Ugly Betty� � No. 3 and �Desperate Housewives� � No. 4. On average, ABC�s delivery is up this season among Hispanic Viewers by 2% in Total Viewers and by 12% in Adults 18-49 over the same point last season.

Weekly Rankings: ABC aired 6 of the week�s Top 15 TV programs in Adults 18-49, including the Top 3 shows: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1, �Desperate Housewives� � No. 2, �Lost� � No. 3, �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 10, �Brothers & Sisters� � No. 11 and �Dancing with the Stars� � No. 13. The Network claimed 4 of the Top 5 most-watched television programs for the week: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1, �Desperate Housewives� � No. 3, �Lost� � No. 4 and �Dancing with the Stars� � No. 5. ABC�s �Ugly Betty� was the most-watched new show during the week and for the season. ABC�s �The Nine� and �Brothers & Sisters� stood as TV�s Top 2 new 10 o�clock programs for the week in Adults 18-49. ABC�s �Dancing with the Stars� and �DWTS the Results� were the Top 2 most-watched unscripted programs, as both drew more viewers than CBS� �Survivor: Cook Islands.� Additionally, �Grey�s Anatomy� was the top-rated show of the week across all key adult and women demographics, while �Lost� was the week�s No. 1 show with Teens 12-17.

Monday

With �Wife Swap� at 8:00 p.m. leading into the 2-hour season premiere of �The Bachelor: Rome� at 9:00 p.m., ABC attracted its largest Monday night audience (7.3 million) with regular programming since early May - since 5/1/06.

� ABC was up over the same night last year (10/3/05), an evening which included �Monday Night Football� coverage and an episode of �Wife Swap,� by 6% in Women 18-34 (3.7/10 vs. 3.5/10) and by 5% in Women 18-49 (4.2/10 vs. 4.0/10).

�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

�Wife Swap� gave ABC a solid start from 8:00-9:00 p.m., with 6.9 million viewers and a 2.9 rating, 8 share in Adults 18-49. The ABC unscripted program took second place in the hour among Adults 18-34, tying NBC's �Deal or No Deal� (2.6/8) and beating the CBS comedies by 8% (�The Class�/�How I Met Your Mother� - 2.4/7).

� For the third straight week, �Wife Swap� was up from its year-ago performance in Adults 18-49, gaining 7% from the same night last year (2.7/8 on 10/3/05).

�The Bachelor: Rome� (9:00-11:00 p.m.)

At 9:00 p.m. �The Bachelor� built on its lead-in and gained audience during each half-hour of its 2-hour season premiere. In fact by 10:30 p.m., ABC's �The Bachelor: Rome� caught NBC�s �Studio 60� among Adults 18-49 (3.3/9), and beat the NBC drama by solid margins across each of the key women demographics from 10:00-11:00 p.m.: W18-34 +24% (4.1/11 vs. 3.3/9), W18-49 +21% (4.7/12 vs. 3.9/10) and W25-54 +6% (5.0/12 vs. 4.7/11).

� ABC's �The Bachelor: Rome� opened with 21% more Viewers (7.5 million vs. 6.2 million) and with 15% more Adults 18-49 (3.1/8 vs. 2.7/7) than the most recent edition of the show (�The Bachelor: Paris� on 1/9/06).

� �The Bachelor: Rome� generated ABC's strongest performance in the time period with regular programming in 5 months - since 5/1/06.

Tuesday

ABC ranked No. 1 on Tuesday night in Total Viewers (14.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.1/11 - tie). ABC has been the most-watched network on all 3 Tuesdays this season and ranked as the No. 1 net in Adults 18-49 on 2 of 3 Tuesdays.

� Through the first three weeks this season, ABC was up sharply on Tuesday night in viewers and young adults. Compared to the same nights last year, ABC�s Tuesday delivery this season has jumped by 33% in Total Viewers (14.9 million vs. 11.2 million) and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/11 vs. 3.3/9).

�Dancing with the Stars� (8:00-9:31 p.m.)

Tuesday's most-watched television show for the fourth straight week, ABC's �Dancing with the Stars� continued to lead its time period in viewers and young adults. In its time period, ABC�s �DWTS� outpaced second-place CBS by 23% in Total Viewers (18.4 million vs. 14.9 million) and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (5.2/14 vs. 4.0/11). In addition to ranking the most-watched television show of the evening, the ABC unscripted program was also the night�s No. 1 program across the women demos: W18-34 (5.8/16), W18-49 (7.2/18) and W25-54 (8.8/20).

� �Dancing with the Stars� increased its overall audience week to week (18.4 million vs. 17.9 million) and also posted gains in key men demographics: M18-49 (3.2/10 vs. 3.0/9) and M25-54 (3.8/10 vs. 3.5/9).

�Help Me Help You� (9:31-10:01 p.m.)

ABC�s �Help Me Help You� continued to receive strong sampling and delivered solid retention of its series debut, holding on to 88% of its week ago Total Viewers (10.1 million vs. 11.5 million) and 86% of its Adults 18-49 (3.0/8 vs. 3.5/9). �Help Me Help You� grew from its week-earlier series debut by 6% in Men 18-49 (1.9/5 vs. 1.8/5) and by 50% in Teens 12-17 (1.5/5 vs. 1.0/3).

�Boston Legal� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

ABC's �Boston Legal� topped CBS� competing drama, �Smith,� in the 10 o�clock hour among Total Viewers (10.6 million vs. 8.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.9/8 vs. 2.8/8). It was the third straight week that the ABC drama has drawn a larger audience than the CBS drama.

� �Boston Legal� posted increases from the prior week in Total Viewers (10.6 million vs. 9.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.9/8 vs. 2.8/8). The ABC legal delivered a season high among Men 18-34 (1.9/6), the series� strongest delivery in the demo in nearly 8 months � since 2/14/06.

Wednesday

ABC delivered a dominant victory on Wednesday night, beating its nearest competition (CBS) by 2.3 million viewers (16.1 million vs. 13.8 million) and by 33% in Adults 18-49 (5.6/15 vs. 4.2/11). ABC also won the night among Adults 18-34 (4.5/13) and Adults 25-54 (6.6/16).

� ABC attracted its largest non-sports audience on Wednesday in more than 1 year - since 9/21/05.

� ABC claimed the Top 2 most-watched programs of the night (�Lost� � No. 1 and �DWTS the Results� � No. 2), while airing 3 of the Top 4 shows of the evening with Adults 18-49 (�Lost� - No. 1, �The Nine� � No. 3 and �DWTS the Results� � No. 4).

�Dancing with the Stars the Results Show� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Growing from the prior week in viewers (+11% - 17.5 million vs. 15.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (+10% - 4.5/13 vs. 4.1/12), �Dancing with the Stars the Results Show� won Wednesday's 8 o'clock hour for the fourth straight week. Actress Vivica A. Fox was the next dancer to be eliminated from the contest. In the hour, �DWTS the Results Show� topped second-place CBS' �Jericho� by 6.7 million viewers and by 32% in Adults 18-49 (10.8 million & 3.4/10).

� ABC�s �Dancing� results show delivered a series-high in viewers and young adults, offering the Network its largest non-sports audience in the time period since May 2005 and its top Adult 18-49 number since January 2006 � since 5/25/05 and 1/6/06, respectively.

�Lost� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

The No. 1 TV program of the night, ABC's third season premiere of �Lost� drew an average audience of 18.8 million viewers and a 7.7 rating, 19 share in Adults 18-49, overshadowing its closest 9 o'clock time period competition (CBS� �Criminal Minds� = 15.2 million & 4.2/10).

� Topping last season's finale, �Lost� drew the series' largest audience since January (1/25/06) and its highest Adult 18-49 number since February (since 2/15/06). Compared to its average during the 2006 May Sweep in the hour, �Lost� was up by 20% in Total Viewers and by 17% in Adults 18-49 (2006 May Sweep = 15.7 million viewers & 6.6/15 in Adults 18-49).

�The Nine� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

ABC's �The Nine� debuted a strong second in the 10 o'clock hour among viewers (11.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.6/12). �The Nine� towered over �Kidnapped� (5.1 million & 1.9/5) in the time period, outdrawing the NBC drama by 6.8 million viewers and by 142% in Adults 18-49.

� Excluding only last season's finale of �Lost,� which ran into the hour, �The Nine� produced ABC's largest audience with regular programming in the time period since last September and its top Adult 18-49 rating since November - since 9/28/05 and 11/30/05, respectively.

Thursday

For the third week in a row, ABC won Thursday night among Adults 18-49, outpacing CBS by 5% (5.9/15 vs. 5.6/15). ABC was again the No. 1 network on the evening with Adults 18-34 (5.4/16) and the top draw across the key women demographics: W18-34 (7.8/21), W18-49 (8.5/21) & W25-54 (9.5/21).

� ABC is seeing enormous gains on Thursday this season. Versus the first three weeks last season, ABC�s Thursday night performance is up by 9.3 million viewers (16.5 million vs. 7.2 million) and by 195% in Adults 18-49 (6.5/17 vs. 2.2/6).

� ABC stood as the No. 1 English language broadcaster among Hispanic viewers on Thursday night. In fact ABC aired the Top 2 programs of the evening in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 with Hispanic viewers watching English language TV: �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 1 (1.16 million/4.2/12) and �Ugly Betty� No. 2 (1.01 million/2.7/8).

�Ugly Betty� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

In its second telecast, �Ugly Betty� continued to be a big to draw for ABC in the opening hour of Thursday night in Total Viewers (14.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.5/13), taking a strong second to CBS� time period veteran �Survivor� on both counts. In the hour the ABC freshman moved ahead of the CBS veteran by 8% among Adults 18-34 (3.9/12 vs. 3.6/11), finishing in a virtual tie for first place with NBC�s comedies (4.0/12) in the hour. �Betty� ranked a strong No. 1 in the hour among Women 18-34, beating out second-place �Survivor� by 23% (5.9/17 vs. 4.8/14). The show also ranked No. 1 in the hour with Women 18-49 (6.6/12-tie). From start to finish, �Ugly Betty� saw its audience swell by 2.3 million viewers (13.1 million to 15.4 million) and by 25% in Adults 18-49 (4.0/12 to 5.0/13).

� In just its first two telecasts, �Ugly Betty� has improved the time period for ABC by 96% in Total Viewers (15.3 million vs. 7.8 million) and by 92% in Adults 18-49 (4.8/14 vs. 2.5/7) over the same nights last year.

� In its second airing, �Ugly Betty� retained an impressive 90% of its week-earlier debut audience among Adult 18-49 (4.5/13 vs. 5.0/14), 95% among Adults 18-34 (3.9/12 vs. 4.1/13) and 98% among Women 18-34 (5.9/17 vs. 6.0/17).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

ABC's �Grey's Anatomy� drew a larger audience than �C.S.I.� and beat the CBS drama for the third straight week in the key adult sales demographic. In the time 9 o�clock time period, �Grey�s� topped �C.S.I.� by 1.3 million viewers (22.8 million vs. 21.5 million) and widened its winning advantage this week over the CBS time period veteran to 29% in Adults 18-49 (9.4/23 vs. 7.3/18).

� In addition to ranking as the No. 1 TV program on Thursday in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� was once again Thursdays top-rated program Adults 18-34 (8.8/24) and Adults 25-54 (10.2/23).

� In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, �Grey's� is generating ABC's strongest scripted series numbers in the time period in at least 15 years - since at least September of 1991, the start of the Nielsen electronic database.

�Six Degrees� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

During the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's �Six Degrees� outpaced its CBS drama competition (�Shark�) among Adults 18-34 (3.4/10), as well as across the key women demographics: W18-34 (4.8/13), W18-49 (5.3/13) and W25-54 (6.0/14). In Adults 18-34, �Six Degrees� beat out �Shark� by 36% (3.4/10 vs. 2.5/7).

� On average over the course of its first 3 airings, �Six Degrees� has improved ABC's performance in the hour by 68% in Total Viewers (10.6 million vs. 6.3 million) and by 120% in Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 2.0/5) over the same nights last season.

Friday

�Men in Trees� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

For the fourth straight telecast in the time period, ABC�s �Men in Trees� built on its lead-in. The new ABC show built on its lead-in (a repeat �Grey�s Anatomy�) by 2.0 million viewers (7.3 million vs. 5.3 million) and by 12% in Adults 18-49 (1.9/6 vs. 1.7/6).

� �Men in Trees� was up week to week by 6% among Total Viewers (7.3 million vs. 6.9 million).

� On average, �Men in Trees� has improved ABC�s delivery in the Friday 9 o�clock hour 1.8 million viewers (7.6 million vs. 5.8 million) and by 10% in Adults 18-49 (2.2/7 vs.2.0/6), over the same three weeks last year.

Sunday

ABC ranked as the No. 1 network on Sunday in Total Viewers (14.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.5/14), besting NBC�s NFL coverage on both measures (12.9 million & 5.4/14).

� For the third straight week, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� stood as Sunday�s No. 1 TV program in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. Also for the third consecutive week, ABC aired the Top 3 entertainment series on Sunday in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, with �Desperate Housewives,� �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� and �Brothers & Sisters.�

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

Opposite Fox�s high-rated NFL overrun, ABC�s �America�s Funniest Home Videos� took second place during the 7 o�clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.5/7) giving the Net a strong foothold during the opening hour of Sunday�s prime. Currently in its 17th season, �AFHV� exhibited massive audience gains throughout its telecast, jumping by 2.9 million viewers (6.7 million to 9.6 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (2.0/6 to 3.0/9) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� overshadowed its non-sports competition during the 8 o�clock hour, outdistancing CBS� �Amazing Race� by 5.0 million viewers (15.2 million vs. 10.2 million) and by 54% in Adults 18-49 (5.4/14 vs. 3.5/9).

� �Home Edition� was up from the prior week among Total Viewers (15.2 million vs. 14.8 million) and across the key men demographics: M18-34 (3.6/11 vs. 3.0/9), M18-49 (4.0/10 vs. 3.9/10) & M25-54 (4.6/11 vs. 4.4/10).

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

The No. 1 TV show on Sunday for the third straight week among Total Viewers (21.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (8.6/20), ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� dominated competition during in the 9 o�clock hour, including NBC�s �Sunday Night Football� and CBS� �Cold Case.� In fact ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� towered over its CBS drama competition in the time period, defeating �Cold Case� by 7.3 million viewers and by132% in Adults 18-49 (�Cold Case� = 13.7 million & 3.7/9)

� �Housewives� was up over the previous week among young men: +7% in Men 18-34 (4.7/13 vs. 4.4/12) and +4% in Men 18-49 (5.4/13 vs. 5.2/12).

�Brothers & Sisters� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

ABC�s freshman �Brothers & Sisters� defeated its CBS drama competition in its time period, veteran �Without a Trace,� across the adult demographics: +37% in Adults 18-34 (4.1/11 vs. 3.0/8), +18% in Adults 18-49 (5.3/13 vs. 4.5/11) and +7% in Adults 25-54 (6.0/14 vs. 5.6/13). ABC won the 10 o�clock hour, beating NBC�s NFL coverage in each of the women demos: W18-34 (5.6/15), W18-49 (7.5/18) & W25-54 (8.5/19).

� Similar to its lead-in, ABC's �Brothers & Sisters� was up from the prior week across the key men demographics: M18-34 (2.6/7 vs. 2.2/7), M18-49 (3.1/8 vs. 2.8/7) and M25-54 (3.5/8 vs. 3.4/8).
