CBS WINS WEEK TWO IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

"CSI" Is the Number One Show in Viewers for the Second Straight Week

Viewers Return to Favorites as "NCIS," "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: Miami" Finish in the Top 10

CBS Has Four of the Top 10 Programs in Viewers

"NCIS," "Criminal Minds," "The Unit," "CSI: NY," "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs" All Post Week-to-Week Growth

"Moonlight" Places First in its Time Period in Viewers, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Adults 25-54

"Survivor: China" and "Without a Trace" Win Time Periods Keeping CBS First on Thursday in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

CBS placed first in viewers and adults 25-54 (tie) in week two of the season led by Number One ranked CSI (for the second consecutive week) and top 10 performances by NCIS, CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: MIAMI, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 7, week two of the 2007-2008 season,

In week two, returning favorites were back on top - NCIS, CRIMINAL MINDS, THE UNIT, CSI: NY, GHOST WHISPERER and NUMB3RS all posted week-to-week growth in viewers and key demographics and/or won their respective period times..

For the week in viewers, CBS (11.40m) led ABC (10.78m), NBC (9.24m) and FOX (7.01m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.61m), ahead of ABC (11.34m), NBC (9.58m) and FOX (6.97m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was tied for first in adults 25-54 (4.2/11, with NBC) and a very competitive third in adults 18-49 (3.3/09, -0.3 behind both NBC and ABC).

For the week in households, CBS (7.3/12) was +3% ahead of ABC (7.1/12), +26% ahead of NBC (5.8/10) and +70% ahead of FOX (4.3/07). Season-to-date in households, CBS is a close second (7.4/12), -1% behind ABC (7.5/12) and +23% ahead of NBC (6.0/10) and +72% ahead of FOX (4.3/07).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (5.4/08), viewers (8.50m), adults 25-54 (4.1/10) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (3.3/08). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER lead-in by +6% in both households and adults 18-49, +11% in adults 25-54 and added +630,000 viewers.

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (9.8/16), viewers (14.72m), adults 25-54 (5.7/14), adults 18-49 (4.5/11) and adults 18-34 (3.3/09).

? NCIS was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.43m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10). This is NCIS's best delivery with a first run episode since 2/27/07 in households, 12/12/06 in viewers and 3/20/07 in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Compared to last week's season premiere, NCIS was up +16% in households (from 8.8/14), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/11), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/09) while adding +2.54m viewers (from 13.89m, +18%).

? THE UNIT posted its best delivery in households (6.9/10), viewers (11.31m), adults 18-49 (3.2/08) and adults 25-54 (4.3/10) since 3/20/07 with a first run episode. Compared to the season premiere last week, THE UNIT was up +3% in households (from 6.7/10), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 3.9/09), +14% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/07) and added +610,000 viewers (from 10.70m, +6%).

? KID NATION (4.6/08, 7.43m viewers, 2.7/07 in adults 25-54, 2.4/07 in adults 18-49) was first in children 6-11 (2.5/09) and children 2-11 (2.0/08). KID NATION was Wednesday's #1 program in children 2-11 and children 6-11.

? CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (9.5/15), viewers (14.56m), second in adults 25-54 (5.1/12, -0.1 behind ABC). Compared to the season premiere last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +16% in households (from 8.2/13), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 4.5/10), +9% in adults 18-49 (3.8/10 from 3.5/09) and added +1.90m viewers (from 12.66m, +15%).

? CSI: NY won its time period in households (8.3/14), viewers (12.69m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/10). Compared to last week's season premiere, CSI: NY was up +2% in households (from 8.1/13), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.6/11) and +5% in adults 18-49 (from 3.7/10).

-- Thursday, CBS was first in households (10.2/16), viewers (16.47m), adults 25-54 (6.2/15) and was tied for first in adults 18-49 (4.9/13, with ABC). CBS was #1 on both Thursdays this season in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. CBS won every half-hour in households and viewers for the second consecutive week.

? SURVIVOR: CHINA was first in households (8.5/14), viewers (14.14m), adults 25-54 (5.7/15) and adults 18-49 (4.5/13). SURVIVOR: CHINA has won its time period in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for three consecutive weeks. SURVIVOR topped "Ugly Betty" by +27% in households (vs. 6.7/11), +43% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.0/10), +32% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/10), and by +4.24m viewers (vs. 9.90m, +43%). SURVIVOR topped the "My Name is Earl" and the season premiere of "30 Rock" by +73% in households (vs. 4.9/08), +58% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.6/09), +32% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/10) and by +6.48m (vs. 7.66m, +85%).

? CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (12.8/19), viewers (20.97m), second in adults 25-54 (7.9/18) and adults 18-49 (6.4/16). CSI topped "Grey's Anatomy" both weeks this season in households and viewers.

? WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (9.3/16), viewers (14.20m), adults 25-54 (4.8/12) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (3.7/10, with NBC). WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week.

--Friday, CBS was first in households (5.8/10), viewers (8.90m), adults 25-54 (3.4/10), adults 18-49 (2.5/08) and adults 18-34 (1.8/07).

? GHOST WHISPERER was first in households (5.7/10), viewers (8.91m), adults 25-54 (3.3/10), adults 18-49 (2.5/09) and adults 18-34 (2.0/08). Compared to last week's premiere, GHOST WHISPERER was up +2% in viewers (from 8.72m), +33% in adults 18-34 (from 1.5/06), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/09) while even in adults 25-54.

? MOONLIGHT was first in households (5.2/09), viewers (8.04m), adults 25-54 (3.0/09), adults 18-49 (2.2/07) and adults 18-34 (1.6/06).

? NUMB3RS was first in households (6.3/12), viewers (9.76m), adults 25-54 (3.8/11), adults 18-49 (2.8/09) and adults 18-34 (2.0/07). This is CBS's best Saturday prime delivery in adults 25-54, adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 25-54, men 18-49 and men 18-34 since March 31, 2007 (NCAA Final Four Saturday) and best households and viewers performance since April 21, 2007.

-- HOME DEPOT PRIME COLLEGE FOOTBALL "Florida at LSU" (S) (8:25PM-12:07AM) scored a 5.3/10 in households with 8.29m viewers and a 4.6/14 in men 25-54, 4.2/17 in men 18-49, 3.9/15 in men 18-34, 3.4/10 in adults 25-54, 3.1/10 in adults 18-49 and 2.9/11 in adults 18-34. CBS was #1 in these measures from 8:30-11:00PM.
