"60 MINUTES" IS IN THE TOP 10 FOR THE TENTH TIME IN 12 BROADCASTS
Once again, 60 MINUTES has finished among Americans' 10 most-watched programs for the week, drawing 14.23 million viewers last Sunday to finish at number seven on Nielsen's top 10 list.
The number of viewers easily allowed the hit broadcast to win its time period in viewers; it also won the period in households, scoring a 9.1/15, to finish at number six for the week in that measurement.
It was the tenth time in 12 broadcasts that 60 MINUTES made the prestigious list. Overall this season, it has finished among the top 10 15 times over 21 telecasts.
Sunday's timely program featured Steve Kroft with the first television interview of Harry Markopolos, the financial analyst who blew the whistle on Bernard Madoff, CNN's Anderson Cooper reporting on the drug war in Mexico and Morley Safer's profile of rising Republican star and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES.
