SURGING POST-OLYMPIC "BIG BROTHER" AND PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL PROPEL CBS TO WEEKLY WIN IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54

All Three "Big Brother" Broadcasts Finish the Week Among the Top 10 Programs in Key Demos, With Sunday's Show Delivering Season Highs in Key Ratings Measures

CBS Scores on Friday and Saturday with Pre-Season Football

Led by BIG BROTHER's post-Olympic momentum and pre-season football, CBS placed first in viewers, adults 18-49 (tie) and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 26, Week 49 of the 2011-2012 television year.

CBS's three BIG BROTHER broadcasts all finished in the top 10 in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, with Sunday's broadcast posting season-best performances in viewers and key demos.

CBS had 11 of the top 20 programs with 60 MINUTES (R), NCIS (R), THE BIG BANG THEORY (R), BIG BROTHER 14 SUNDAY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES (R), THE MENTALIST TUESDAY (R) and BIG BROTHER 14 THURSDAY all placing in the top 10 in viewers.

NCIS (R) was the week's top scripted series and THE BIG BANG THEORY (R) was the week's top comedy and #1 scripted program in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers: CBS (5.84m), NBC (5.13m), ABC (4.09m) and FOX (3.79m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (1.9/05) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.5/05, with NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (3.8/07), NBC (3.3/06), ABC (2.7/05) and FOX (2.3/04).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in households (3.7/06), viewers (5.86m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and was second in adults 18-34 (1.3/05, -0.1 behind FOX). BIG BROTHER 14 WEDNESDAY posted its best delivery in adults 25-54 and matched season-high adults 18-49 ratings.

BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in households (3.9/06), viewers (6.28m), adults 25-54 (2.8/07), adults 18-49 (2.3/07) and adults 18-34(1.5/05). BIG BROTHER THURSDAY posted its largest audience and best adults 18-49 ratings since the season premiere, and matched its best households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 ratings since the season premiere.

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was second in households (4.5/07), viewers (7.37m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.6/08). BIG BROTHER 14 SUNDAY posted the best delivery for any BIG BROTHER 14 broadcast in both households and viewers, matched the best on any night in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, and posted the best Sunday delivery this summer in adults 18-34 (1.8/06).

Friday's NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) "Chicago Bears at New York Giants" was first from 8:00-11:00 PM in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49, adults 18-34, men 25-54, men 18-49 and men 18-34.

NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:19 PM) scored a 3.3/06 in households with 5.15m viewers and a 2.5/08 in men 25-54, 2.0/07 in men 18-49, 1.4/06 in men 18-34, 1.9/06 in adults 25-54, 1.5/06 in adults 18-49 and 1.2/05 in adults 18-34. NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL was Friday's #1 program in key men and adult demographics.

Saturday's NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) "Houston Texans @ New Orleans Saints" was first from 8:00-11:00 PM in adults 18-49, men 18-49, adults 18-34, men 18-34, second in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and men 25-54.

NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:21 PM) scored a 3.2/06 in households with 5.13m viewers and a 2.3/07 in men 25-54, 2.1/08 in men 18-49, 1.6/08 in men 18-34, 1.8/06 in adults 25-54, 1.6/06 in adults 18-49 and 1.3/06 in adults 18-34.
