Turner Weekly Ratings - truTV Ranks as One of Basic Cable's Top 10 Networks in Primetime Delivery of Adults 18-34
Turner spins the numbers for the week of September 17-23.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim ranked as basic cable's #1 network for Total Day Delivery of young adults 18-34 and 18-24 as well as men 18-24. Adult Swim also ranked #3 in primetime (Broadcast definition) delivery of adults 18-34 among basic cable networks, behind ESPN and FX.

Adult Swim's original series finale of Black Dynamite (Sunday, 11:30 p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among ALL targeted adults 18-34 & 18-49, as well as men 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24. Immediately following, a new episode of Robot Chicken (Sunday, 12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its timeslot among adults 18-34 and men 18-24. The original series presentation expanded delivery of adults 18-34 by 4%, men 18-34 by 27%, men 18-49 by 2% and men 18-24 by 8%. On Thursday night, the Emmy Award-winning Childrens Hospital (12 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among adults 18-24.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, Robot Chicken, American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Moral Orel - accounted for 21 of the top 50 telecasts of the week on basic cable among adults 18-34, more than any other network.

truTV

truTV enjoyed a particularly strong week, ranking as one of basic cable's Top 10 networks in primetime delivery of adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49. The network claimed a Top 10 ranking among cable entertainment networks in delivery of adults 18-49.

Compared to same week a year ago, truTV scored across-the-board growth, including increases among total viewers (+12%), adults 18-34 (+24%), adults 18-49 (+14%), men 18-34 (+7%) and men 18-49 (+7%).

truTV's breakout hit Hardcore Pawn (Tuesday 9 p.m.) drew a total audience of 2.7 million viewers last night, ranking it among ad-supported cable's Top 3 programs in the timeslot. The show also scored Top 5 time-period rankings with adults 18-49 and men 18-49.

truTV's South Beach Tow (Wednesday 9:30 p.m.) drew more than 1.6 million viewers for its season 2 premiere. The episode scored double-digit growth in key adult and male demos compared to the show's first-season average, with total viewers up 16%, adults 18-34 up 27%, adults 18-49 up 14%, men 18-34 up 20% and men 18-49 up 20%. The show also ranked as one of basic cable's Top 5 programs in the timeslot with adults 18-49 and key male demos.

truTV's hilarious breakout hit Impractical Jokers (Thursday 10 p.m.) drew 1.7 million viewers and scored its biggest delivery of adults 18-49 (1,138,000) ever last week. The episode ranked as basic cable's #2 entertainment program in its timeslot with adults 18-49 and men 18-49. It also scored a Top 5 basic cable ranking in the time-period with adults 18-34. Compared to the same timeslot last year, Impractical Jokers delivered triple-digit growth across the board, while also dropping the median age to 34.

The return of Wipeout (Friday 8-11 p.m.) drew an average of 1.2 million total viewers and 623,000 Adults 18-49. The 8 p.m. episode landed among basic cable's Top 3 programs in the timeslot with adults 18-34 and adults 18-49. The episode also grew +75% among adults 18-34 and +9% among adults 18-49 compared to Wipeout's debut on truTV last September. truTV's three-hour block of Wipeout episodes on Friday sparked the network to a Top 5 basic cable ranking for the night with all key adult and male demos.

TNT

TNT's hit original series Major Crimes once again topped the charts as basic cable's #1 drama for the week, drawing 4.7 million viewers in Live + Same Day. In the demos, the episode garnered 1 million adults 18-49 and 1.3 million adults 25-54.

TNT's Perception wrapped up its first season last Monday with 3.5 million viewers in Live + Same Day, including 815,000 adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-54. Meanwhile in time-shifted viewing, Perception has scored a Live + 7 average 6.3 million viewers through the first eight episodes of its first season, with 1.7 million adults 18-49 and 2.2 million adults 25-54. The show joins TNT's Major Crimes and Dallas in giving TNT basic cable's Top 3 new dramas for the year-to-date.

Live + 7

Time-shifted viewing data indicates millions of viewers are making a concerted effort to catch every episode of their favorite TNT dramas. The following are the final Live + 7 figures for episodes airing the week of Sept. 3:

· Major Crimes (Sept. 3): 7.7 million viewers; 1.9 million adults 18-49; 2.4 million adults 25-54

· Perception (Sept. 3): 6.5 million viewers; 1.7 million adults 18-49; 2.2 million adults 25-54

· Leverage (Sept. 9): 3.4 million viewers: 1.3 million adults 18-49; 1.4 million adults 25-54

TBS

Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse drew 1.4 million viewers with a new episode at 9 p.m. Friday night, growing to more than 1.6 million viewers at 9:30 p.m. The show joins TBS's telecasts of The Big Bang Theory in giving the network 18 of basic cable's Top 20 sitcom telecasts for the week among total viewers and 15 of the top 20 sitcom telecasts among adults 18-49. TBS also accounted for 15 of the Top 20 sitcom telecasts with adults 18-34.

TBS's CONAN continues to chart solid growth this month in Live + Same Day. The show's September 2012 figures are up 29% among total viewers and +17% among adults 18-49 compared to September 2011. CONAN's September 2012 deliveries are also up over the previous month, with total viewers up 11% and adults 18-49 +8% compared to August.

Last week, CONAN averaged 919,000 viewers in Live + Same Day, up 9% over the prior week. The show also garnered 260,000 adults 18-34 (+5%) and 548,000 adults 18-49 (+7%). Compared to the same week last year, CONAN's delivery of total viewers grew by +28% while adults 18-49 grew by +18%. In time-shifted viewing, the show's averages for the week of Sept. 3 grew to a final Live + 7 tally of 1 million viewers; 274,000 adults 18-34; and 606,000 adults 18-49.

Cartoon Network

The fourth week of September crowned Cartoon Network as basic cable's #1 network for Early Prime (7-9 p.m.) delivery of boys 2-11 & 6-11, and #1 in Total Day delivery of boys 6-11 & 9-14.

Among the network's original animated programming, Monday night's presentation of Regular Show (8 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 9-14, the #1 telecast of the day among boys 6-11 and #1 in its time period among boys 2-11. Similarly, Adventure Time (7:30 p.m.) charted as the #1 telecast of the day among boys 2-11 and #1 in its time period among kids 9-14 and boys 6-11 & 9-14. Annoying Orange (8:30 p.m.) wrapped up the evening #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 & 9-14 on all television, and #1 among boys 2-11 on basic cable.

Tuesday night's presentation of the Cartoon Network original series, The Amazing World of Gumball (7 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the week among boys 6-11, the #1 telecast of the day among boys 2-11 & 9-14 and #1 in its time period among kids 2-11 & 6-11. Immediately following, new series Dreamworks Dragons: Riders of Berk (7:30 p.m.) scored as the #1 telecast in its time period among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14, earning significant double-digit delivery gains across the board vs. last year - kids 2-11 delivery grew by 55%, kids 6-11 by 78%, kids 9-14 by 58%, boys 2-11 by 34%, boys 6-11 by 53% and boys 9-14 by 56%.

Saturday morning's premiere of Ben 10: Omniverse (9-10 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 9-14. The newest iteration of the Ben 10 franchise scored double-digit delivery growth among kids 9-14 (19%) and boys 9-14 (25%).
