UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - June 18, 2013 - NBC finished second for the primetime week of June 10-16 in the 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54 demos, as well as total viewers, according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.

For the week, NBC earned a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demo, which was second to only ABC - the network fueled by the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat. Among entertainment programs, NBC was No. 1 for the week.

The 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demo was an increase from a week ago (1.5 rating). There were also weekly increases in the 18-34 and 25-54 demos, as well as total viewers.

NBC won Monday night against ABC, CBS and Fox in the 18-49. The network was just a fraction behind Fox on Wednesday, thanks to first game of the Stanley Cup Finals between Boston and Chicago.

NBC has the top three non-sports telecasts of the week: The Monday episode of "The Voice" (3.3), followed closely by the Tuesday episode of "America's Got Talent" (3.0) and Tuesday's edition of "The Voice" (2.9).

The Monday sneak preview of "The Winner Is," at 10 p.m. immediately following "The Voice," fared well, earning a 1.8 in its debut telecast and 2.3 million viewers overall.

Other NBC programs in the top 20 were the Stanley Cup Finals game on Wednesday (2.5, 3.1 million viewers overall) and "The Miss USA Competition" (1.3, 1.7 million viewers overall).

NBC was up in the 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54 demos, as well as total viewers, from the same week a year ago.

Primetime averages for the week of June 10-16 in the 18-49 demo: ABC, 2.7/9; NBC, 1.7/5; Fox, 1.2/4; CBS, 0.9/3; CW, 0.2/1. In overall total viewers: ABC, 7.5 million; NBC, 6.1 million; CBS, 5.1 million; Fox, 3.1 million; CW, 750,000.

NBC highlights for the week for June 10-16:

Monday: NBC won the 18-49 demo race, as well as 18-34 and 25-54, with a 2.8 rating, handily defeating ABC, CBS and Fox. NBC was also first in total viewers (10 million), nearly doubling ABC, who was the closest competitor with 5.2 million. "The Voice" and "The Winner Is" were, respectively, No. 1 and No. 2 in the demo.

"The Voice" (8-10:01 p.m.) delivered a 3.3/10 and 11.9 million total viewers, making it the highest-rated program of the night. The show increased in the demo in every half-hour and won each easily over the remaining Big 4 networks. There was also a steady rise in total viewers from 8-9:30. The episode was even with last Monday's telecast in the demo and 5% higher in total viewers.

The sneak peak of "The Winner Is" earned a 1.8/5, with 6.3 million viewers overall. The show defeated all Big 4 competitors in both the 10 and 10:30 p.m. timeslots in both the demo and overall viewers.

"The Winner Is" lowered the networks age - 51.9 vs. 52.9 - from "The Voice."

"The Winner Is" delivered the top summer 2013 debut so far on any network in adults 18-49, and the top summer debut on any network since Fox's "Hotel Hell" (8/13/12, also a 1.8).

Tuesday: NBC came in second in the 18-49 demo behind ABC, which telecast the third game of the NBA Finals. In non-sports programming, had the top two programs in both the demo and total viewers: "America's Got Talent" and "The Voice," respectively.

From 8-9:01 p.m., "The Voice" drew a 2.9/10, 10.7 million viewers, easily winning the timeslot. The telecast increased in both the demo and total viewers in the second half-hour.

A two-hour "America's Got Talent" (9:01-11 p.m.) earned a 3.0/8, making it the highest-rated non-sports program of the night. In its second week of the new season, "AGT" was only off one-tenth of a ratings point off from the previous week and actually saw a 3% increase in overall viewers - from 11.2 million to 11.5 million.

Wednesday: Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals between Boston and Chicago aired for all three primetime hours in most of the country. The game drew a 2.5/9 and was just a fraction behind Fox's "MasterChef" for No. 1 in the 18-49 demo.

The 18-49 demo was the best for a Stanley Cup Game 1 since 1997. The game was No. 1 in the men's 18-49 demo by a wide margin.

Thursday: "Save Me" ended the season with an original episode at 8:30 p.m. that drew a 0.5/2, and 2.2 million viewers overall. Of the 8-10 p.m. comedies, in fact, all of them - two episodes of "Save Me," "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" - garnered an identical 0.5/2.

At 10 p.m., the season's penultimate episode of "Hannibal" scored a 0.7/2, with 2.1 million viewers overall and a 10% increase of total viewers in the 10:30 half-hour. Most of the night's broadcast competition came from ABC, which aired the fourth game of the NBA Finals between Miami and San Antonio. The game registered a 6.7/21, and 16.2 million viewers.

Friday: NBC finished second behind ABC for the night, with a 1.0/4. "Dateline NBC" (8-10 p.m.) drew a 1.0/4, with 5.7 million viewers overall. That made it the second most-watched program of the evening, losing to only "Blue Bloods" on CBS.

"Dateline NBC," in fact, saw increases in total viewers for each half-hour, rising to 6.2 million for its final 9:30 half-hour. On a percentage basis, "Dateline NBC" was the most time-shifted program of the night among the broadcast networks.

Saturday: In a night filled with encore programming, NBC (0.5/2) was second just below Fox (0.6). Highlights of the night included a U.S. Open golf overrun, as well as repeats of "Law & Order: SVU" and "Saturday Night Live" primetime recap.

Sunday: U.S. Open golf overrun helped the 7 o'clock hour. From 7-7:30 p.m., NBC dominated with a 3.3/13 and 13.7 million viewers. Both "The Voice" and "The Miss USA Competition" were hurt by the strong competition of ABC with the fifth game of the NBA Finals.

"The Miss USA Competition," however, was the second highest-rated program of the night (1.3/4) as well as the second most-watched (4.6 million viewers).
