"Dateline NBC" Reports the #1 Results of the Night in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers
NBC spins the numbers for Friday, July 26.

Friday Primetime Results:

NBC tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox Friday night in adults 18-49, led by the #1 show of the night on those networks, "Dateline NBC." "Dateline" was also #1 in total viewers, with a 16% week-to-week increase.

· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) reported the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "Dateline" ranked #1 in the time period on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 (with a 1.5 rating) and total viewers. It's the fifth week in a row "Dateline" has won its Friday time period among those networks in those three categories. "Dateline" was also #1 or tied for #1 in the slot on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all other key ratings measures.

· "Dateline" is currently matching its rating of one week ago in 18-49 and is up 16% in total viewers (5.823 million vs. 5.012 million).

· In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, "Dateline NBC" delivered a 31% margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.3 for ABC's second-place "20/20").

· At 8 p.m., an encore telecast of "Camp" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall. "Camp" is currently up versus its rebroadcast in this time period one week earlier by a tenth of a rating point or 25% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.5 from a 0.4) and by 11% in total viewers (1.922 million vs. 1.738 million), pending updates.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

NBC's late-night lineup dominated the broadcast competition Friday night. In the Local People Meters:

· Jay came close to beating the combined rating for encores of "Late Show" and Kimmel (0.9 vs. a combined 1.0),

· Jimmy Fallon earned his highest 18-49 rating for a Friday telecast in seven weeks (since June 7).

· Carson Daly's encore tied rebroadcasts of Letterman and Kimmel, while outscoring originals of "Nightline" and Ferguson.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.9/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.5/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.6/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.7/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.5/4 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

Jay's guests were: Katy Perry, Cris Collinsworth and musical guest Kacey Musgraves Jimmy's guests were: Liev Schreiber, Anthony Anderson and musical guest Imagine Dragons. Carson Daly's guests were: Pete Wentz, Room 237 and musical guest Tift Merritt (encore) .
