IN MAY SCIENCE CHANNEL DELIVERS THIRD CONSECUTIVE MONTH OF YEAR OVER YEAR PRIMETIME GROWTH AMONG PERSONS 25-54 AND HIGHEST MAY EVER IN TOTAL DAY
Science Channel continued its 2016 ratings successes into May by delivering its third consecutive month of year over year ratings growth among Persons 25-54 in L+3. In Total Day, Science Channel delivered its highest rated May ever among Adults/Men/Women 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers P2+, no exclusions.
Science Channel's ratings growth was balanced between Men and Women. In Primetime, ratings in key demos including Adults/Men/Women 25-54 were up vs. May 2015, and in Total Day ratings, the network was up double digits in key demos, up +21% among Men 25-54 and up +29% among Women 25-54, in addition to being up +18% among Adults 25-54 and up +10% in Total Viewers P2+ for the month vs. May 2015.
May highlights included freshman series break-out successes that included SPACE'S DEEPEST SECRETS with a series average of 573,000 Total Viewers P2+ across five episodes. ALASKA MEGA MACHINES, which examines the science behind how the big machines used to survive harsh winters in Alaska are engineered, had an average of 500,000 Total Viewers P2+, also across five episodes.
