ADDITIONAL NOTES: renewed through the 2013-14 season (the show's fourth) on 3/4/13
DESCRIPTION: (from FOX's press release, May 2013) Entering its fourth season, RAISING HOPE is the critically acclaimed comedy created by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia and executive-produced by Mike Mariano that follows the continuing comic adventures of the Chance family as they raise an adorable toddler named HOPE(guest stars Baylie and Rylie Cregut). Following JIMMY (Lucas Neff) marriage to longtime crush SABRINA (Shannon Woodward), the young couple moved into their own home this past season. But they found that they still need Jimmy's parents, VIRGINIA (Emmy Award winner Martha Plimpton) and BURT (Garret Dillahunt), to help them raise Jimmy's daughter, Hope. Having been teen parents themselves, Virginia and Burt see Hope as their second chance to get parenthood right, after all the mistakes they made with Jimmy. They continue to live with Virginia's erratic grandmother, MAW MAW (Emmy Award winner Cloris Leachman), whose eccentricities keep everyone on their toes, as she has a tendency to lose her clothing and, in her mind, it just might be World War II. To make ends meet, Jimmy and Sabrina still work together at Howdy's Supermarket, under the supervision of their goofy manager, BARNEY (Gregg Binkley). In Season Four, Virginia and Burt find new adventures to fill the void of their empty nest, with only Maw Maw left in the house. Jimmy and Sabrina navigate many new "firsts," both as newlyweds and as co-parents. Jimmy takes a stab at having a career as an artist, and Barney reels over the introduction of organic food at Howdy's. Hope's world starts to expand as she enters preschool and makes new friends in the neighborhood. She may be getting older and wiser, but her family remains as lovingly dysfunctional as ever. RAISING HOPE is produced by Amigos de Garcia Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. Mike Mariano serves as executive producer on the series.
