'20/20' INVESTIGATES THE CABELLO FAMILY WHO STOLE MILLIONS WITHOUT FIRING A SINGLE SHOT

'20/20' Airs on the West Coast Saturday, February 11, on ABC

Three brazen heists. Millions of dollars stolen. The FBI befuddled for years. "20/20" explores how secret criminal masterminds Archie Cabello, his wife, Marian, and son, Vinny, stole millions without firing a single shot and avoided investigators by leading a modest lifestyle. Correspondent David Wright speaks with local and federal investigators, the prosecutors who put them away, a former co-worker and others related to the case, piecing together how this family was able to steal almost $4 million from armored cars and a vault and get away with it for a decade. The hour-long special includes dramatic 911 calls and surveillance footage that show how the Cabello's committed these crimes. Due to the NBA broadcast schedule, "20/20" airs only on the west coast SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11 (10:00-11:00 p.m. PST), on ABC. (OAD: 7/22/16)

In 1995, Archie and Marian pulled off their first major theft in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They stole about $157, 000 from an armored car. A few years later, with help from Vinny, Archie robbed a vault for $730, 000. Then the Cabello family moved to Portland, Oregon, where Archie and Vinny robbed an armored car in their biggest heist, taking a total of $3 million. For years the Cabello family remained under the radar, stashing their cash and spending little of it, but when the family turned on one another federal investigators were able to crack the case.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir. David Sloan is senior executive producer.
