"48 HOURS" SATURDAY TRUE CRIME DOUBLE FEATURE

Saturday, Sept. 7

48 HOURS: "Storm of Suspicion" - 9:00 PM, ET/PT

Maureen Maher and 48 HOURS investigate the disappearance of a young mother of two who vanished a day before Hurricane Harvey hit Texas in an update of "Storm of Suspicion" to be broadcast Saturday, Sept. 7 (9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. 48 HOURS gained unprecedented access to the Chambers County command center in Baytown, Texas, a suburb of Houston, as investigators searched for Crystal McDowell. The 37-year-old realtor was last seen leaving a boyfriend's home on the morning of August 25, 2017 to pick up her two children, who were staying with her ex-husband, Steve McDowell. However, McDowell told sheriff's deputies she never arrived. An uncle and other family members reported Crystal missing. In the days that followed, Harvey dumped historic levels of rain on Texas. Meanwhile, a taskforce, including Texas Rangers, deputies, District Attorney Cheryl Lieck and Sheriff Brian Hawthorne continued their investigation into Crystal's disappearance. They had plenty of people to speak with, starting with her ex-husband, Steve McDowell, her new boyfriend, Paul Hargrave, and her uncle, Jeff Walters. But there were others. 48 HOURS follows the team as they piece together the last known moments of McDowell's life, revealed how police found her body and included the shocking arrest that left family members stunned.

48 HOURS: "What Happened to Rachael?" - 10:00 PM, ET/PT

Erin Moriarty and 48 HOURS investigate the murder of Rachael DelTondo outside of her home in a small Pennsylvania city and the search for answers in an encore of "What Happened to Rachael?" to be broadcast Saturday, Sept. 7 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. More than a year after DelTondo was gunned down there are plenty of theories, but no arrests, leaving some to wonder if the case will ever be solved. It's a case that shook Aliquippa, Pa., and remains the ninth unsolved murder in a city with an underfunded and understaffed police department. There are numerous potential leads for police to follow, including a young Aliquippa High School athlete named Sheldon Jeter and DelTondo's ex-fiance Frank Catroppa. Both Catroppa and Jeter deny any involvement in Rachael's death. Local writer and CBS News contributor John Paul says DelTondo was afraid of a lot of people, including the Aliquippa Police. Who killed DelTondo?
