By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

Looking to keep track of all the various projects in development? Click here to visit our signature "Devwatch" section. There visitors can view our listings by network, genre, studio and even development stage (ordered to pilot, cast-contingent, script, etc.). It's updated every day!

DADS (FOX/20th; W: Alec Sulkin & Wellesley Wild; D: Mark Cendrowski) - Giovanni Ribisi has joined the cast of the multi-camera comedy, about two successful video game developers - family man Warner (Ribisi) and perpetually single Eli (Seth Green) - who have their lives turned upside down when their nightmare dads (Martin Mull, Peter Riegert) unexpectedly move in with them. He'll succeed Tommy Dewey, who played said role in the recently completed pilot. Said development comes on the heels of Vanessa Lachey replacing Erin Pineda as Warner's wife after the table read. Brenda Song and Tonita Castro also star. (Deadline.com)

DOWN LO (HBO, New!) - Seth Zvi Rosenfeld ("How to Make It in America") has sold a potential drama to the pay channel set in Miami's South Beach, exploring the party town's popular music scene and sports and fashion circles. Among the storylines: "a gay rapper living on the down low as homosexuality is still not readily accepted in the hip-hop community." The Get Lifted Film Company and Flame Ventures are co-producing the hour with Rosenfeld, John Legend, Tony Krantz, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius executive producing and Reece Pearson serving as a co-executive producer.
