MONSTER (HBO, New!) - Naoki Urasawa's manga-turned-anime series - about a young doctor who saves the life of a 12-year-old boy only to learn years later he's become an evil sociopath - is being developed as a drama at the pay channel. Guillermo del Toro and Steven Thompson are penning the adaptation with del Toro potentially directing. Angry Films' partners Don Murphy and Susan Montford are executive producing alongside del Toro and Exile Entertainment's Gary Ungar with Thompson serving as a co-executive producer.
