THE THIRD COAST (HBO, New!) - Annette Bening is set to star in a potential single-camera comedy for the pay channel about a larger-than-life casting director (Bening) in New Mexico. Writer Paul Rudnick and director Jay Roach are behind the project, which is the result of the latter's two-year overall deal with HBO. Rudnick, Roach and John Lyons are the executive producers. UNTITLED GAUMONT INTERNATIONAL TELEVISION PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Gaumont International Television has inked a development deal with the network for two potential series, one of which is guaranteed a 13-episode, straight-to-series order. The company's chief Katie O'Connell will presumably serve as an executive producer on the project. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Twentieth Television is reportedly getting ready to shop the off-network run of "The Simpsons" to cable networks for the first time, ending its exclusive run on local stations after over 20 years (TVGuide.com); Lorraine Toussaint is set to recur on the new season of "Orange Is the New Black" as "a longtime street tough who ran her own drug business, recruiting children to serve as runners" while Danielle Brooks's Taystee has been promoted to regular (Deadline.com); Aubrey Peeples has booked an arc on "Nashville" as "a runner-up in a big reality singing competition who just burst onto the music scene and seems to be as sweet and gracious as they come" (EW.com); Denis O'Hare is the latest addition to "American Horror Story: Coven" (@MrRPMurphy); Steven Krueger is bound for three episodes of "The Originals" as "a young tourist whose night out in New Orleans takes an unexpectedly dark turn when he ends up at Marcel's bar" (TVGuide.com);

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio has been cast as the First Lady on "Hostages," where she'll replace Kate Burton from the original pilot (TVLine.com); James LeGros will recur on "Revenge" as Father Paul who "has ties to the Grayson family" (EOnline.com); Jurnee Smollett is bound for "Parenthood" as "a smart, feisty, up-and-coming political dynamo who Kristina hires to be her campaign manager" (TVLine.com); Sam Elliott will visit "Parks & Recreation" as Ron Swanson's "aggressively mustached counterpart/doppelganger in neighboring Eagleton" (TVLine.com); "The Blacklist" executive producers John Davis and John Fox have inked a two-year, first-look deal with producer Sony Pictures Television (THR.com); and "Ray Donovan" executive producer Bryan Zuriff is taking a voluntary leave of absence from the series after pleading guilty to running an illegal gambling operation on Friday (Deadline.com).
