HACKTIVIST (The CW, New!) - Matt Corman and Chris Ord ("Covert Affairs") are looking to bring Alyssa Milano's comic book of the same name to the small screen. Said effort revolves around Nate Graft and Ed Hiccox, "two twentysomething best friends and co-founders of the most important social networking company in the world, who are recruited to work secretly for the CIA to bring about global social change." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Ross Richie and Stephen Christy of Boom! Studios also executive producing and Josh Levy as a co-executive producer. Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly and Marcus To are behind the comic series. (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Missy Peregrym ("Rookie Blue") has been cast as Danny Williams' sister, Bridget: "who still lives in New Jersey with her husband and kids - comes to Hawaii alone for a corporate retreat. Scott Caan's Danny, witnessing his sister in a professional setting, in turn discovers a side of her that he has never seen." (TVLine.com)
I'M DYING UP HERE (Showtime) - Scott Cohen and David Paymer are both bound for the newcomer as Roy Brenner, "a powerful talent agent who expects the best from his clients and is intolerant of bad behavior"; and Ernie Falk, "a rich, jovial, well-known TV producer who is a regular at Goldie's," respectively. (Deadline.com)
JUMPMEN (CBS, New!) - Craig Turk ("The Good Wife") and Grant Thompson (McFarland USA) are set to team for a new drama about "Air Force pararescue jumpers who find, treat, and recover disaster victims in the most extreme, impossible circumstances. When a veteran PJ's daughter becomes the first woman to qualify for his unit, the team's personal and professional commitments are put to the ultimate test." Turk's CBS Television Studios-based Thinking Hat Productions is behind the hour with Propagate Content's Ben Silverman also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (TNT) - Kristoffer Joner (The Revenant) is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot as Matheus Volk, "Eli's (Kristine Froseth) protector and enabler, the sad man who keeps her well-supplied with fresh blood. He's been doing this feral work for 10 years, and he's gotten very good indeed at trapping his victims, exsanguinating them and staying one step ahead of the law. Weary and cold, Matheus is just sick enough of this life to get sloppy for one brief moment." (THR.com)
NO TOMORROW (The CW) - Marta Milans is bound for the netlet's newcomer in the recurring role of Sofia: "a dynamic, passionate world traveler and photographer, Sofia is newly engaged to Kareema's brother, Rohan, but quickly develops a surprising connection with Kareema herself." (Deadline.com)
ODD MOM OUT (Bravo) - Lara Spotts has departed the network as Senior VP of Development to take over as showrunner on the series' third season. She'll succeed Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky, who opted not to return. (THR.com)
SAME SKY, THE (Netflix, New!) - The German drama is bound for English-speaking territories via the streaming service. Set in Cold War Berlin, the series "centers on the relationship between an East German agent (Tom Schilling) and his target in the West (Sofia Helin), the woman he must seduce for the sake of his country." Friederike Becht also stars in the six-part project, from writer Paula Milne, director Olivier Hirschbiegel, UFA Fiction and Beta Film. (Deadline.com)
SHE'S GOTTA HAVE IT (Netflix) - Cleo Anthony (Divergent) has booked a lead role on Spike Lee's small screen take on his feature film as Greer Childs, "a former model turned successful photographer who longs for an artist's life." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED CATHRYN HUMPHRIS PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Cathryn Humphris is developing a new drama at the network about "a newly-assembled FBI task force - a distinguished cop, a hard-driving lawyer, a psychologist and a social media expert - as they travel the country investigating and solving hate crimes. The team's goal is to bring justice to those who have been wronged and foster healing in the communities that have been fractured by the hate crimes, even as cases bring up old wounds and personal demons for the agents." 20th Century Fox Television-based Baer Bones Productions is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. The company's Neal Baer will then executive produce with Jessica Shulman as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
