AFFAIR, THE (Showtime) - Christopher Meyer is bound for the new season as Anton Gatewood, "a defiant but brilliant high school student of Noah (West). Caught between his parents' expectations, Anton struggles to find his own sense of self amid episodes of self-sabotage and doubt." (Deadline.com)
ALYSSA MILANO FOR MAYOR (Lifetime, New!) - Actress Alyssa Milano is set to star as herself in a "soft-scripted show" for the cable channel in which "she through a series of circumstances, ends up becoming the mayor of a suburban L.A. town and is forced to deal with the minutiae of community politics." A+E Studios in association with Milano's Peace by Peace Productions are behind the project. Additionally, Milano has been upped to series regular on The CW-turned-Netflix drama "Insatiable"; while her graphic novel "Hacktivist" is being redeveloped by The CW with a new writer, Grant Thompson. Chris Ord and Matt Corman were behind the previous incarnation in 2016. (Deadline.com)
BLACK DON'T CRACK (ABC, New!) - Regina Hicks ("Insecure") has booked a multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "three former sorority sisters who lost touch after college reunite during a pivotal point in each of their lives and realize that now that they are of a certain age sometimes it's okay to crack and no one will be there for you like your sisters." Viola Davis and Julius Tennon of JuVee Productions as well as Larry Wilmore of Wilmore Films will also executive produce for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
DIME, THE (FOX, New!) - Joe and Tony Gayton ("Hell on Wheels") are looking to bring Kathleen Kent's novel - about "Brooklyn cop Betty Rhyzyck, a tough-as-nails firebrand who moves with her girlfriend to Dallas to lead a group of detectives" - to the small screen. Matt Reeves, Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn are also on board to executive produce for the 20th Century Fox Television-based 6th & Idaho. Said commitment includes a penalty. (Deadline.com)
IMPOSTERS (Bravo) - Uma Thurman has booked a return trip to the show's second season as Lenny, "the ultimate fixer." (Deadline.com)
MIDNIGHT LAWYER (FOX, New!) - Nick Schenk ("Manhunt: Unabomber") has sold a new drama to the network about "a lawyer who gets his clients out of trouble they get into after dark. He used to live the NYC after-hours life and now he's always striving to save people the way he saved himself - but this business comes with temptations." Danny Strong, Stacy Greenberg, Todd Hoffman and Dennis Kim will also executive produce the project, which has a penalty attached, for the 20th Century Fox Television-based Danny Strong Productions. (Deadline.com)
NEPOTIST, THE (ABC, New!) - Jonathan Kimmel ("Jimmy Kimmel Live"), brother of late-night host brother Jimmy Kimmel, has set up a potential multi-camera comedy at the Alphabet about Tom Primo, "who has had enough of keeping his mother, son, daughter and ex-wife employed, but he's got too much heart (and guilt) to fire them. Josh Dixon is the answer to all of Tom's problems; he's smart, hard working, kind and just the guy to supervise the most volatile and least qualified coworkers on Earth." Kimmel's Meadow Lark Lane Productions and 20th Century Fox Television are co-producing. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ADAM STEIN PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Adam Stein ("The Exorcist") has set up a potential drama at the streaming service which will "explore the colorful and volatile world of daytime drama as it tracks the journey of an 18-year-old Orange County kid suddenly thrust into the limelight of Los Angeles in the early-80s, when he is anointed the Next Big Thing on America's most popular soap." The project is inspired by the life of actor John Stamos, who serves as an executive producer alongside Zadan/Meron Productions' Craig Zadan and Neil Meron for Universal Television. Mark Nicholson will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)
