BETTER THAN US (Netflix) - A second season of the sci-fi series is moving forward without the involvement of the streaming service. A group of Russia, U.S. and China producers will instead proceed on a yet-to-be-determined Chinese streaming platform. (Variety.com)
CHARMED (The CW) - J.J. Hawkins has scored a recurring role on the series as Kevin, "a transgender male college student who inspires one of the Charmed Ones to take on a very formidable opponent." (Deadline.com)
CONNERS, THE (ABC) - Alexandra Billings has been tapped for an arc on the comedy as Robin, "a transgender woman who lives in Lanford and works as a supervisor in the local factory. No-nonsense, but fair, Robin is a friend and mentor to Darlene (Sara Gilbert)." (Deadline.com)
DEXTER LIMITED SERIES (Showtime) - Marcos Siega, who helmed nine episodes of the show's original run, will return to helm six of the revival's 10 planned episodes. He'll also serve as an executive producer on the series. (THR.com)
HIALEAH: DADE F*CKIN COUNTY (IMDb TV, New!) - Monique Alvarez and Jessica Lee Williamson have set up a potential comedy at the streaming service which "follows first generation Cuban-American, ChiChi Rodriguez, who makes a run from her failed marriage and lands back with her disapproving family in the Cuban mecca of Hialeah: a hard left from Miami, a world away from the lavish version of South Florida, and the last place on earth ChiChi ever wanted to be. She's determined to reinvent herself in this singular neighborhood brimming with cafecito counters, Santería altars, and bench ads for ass implants. But first she must learn that, hay que resolver: you gotta work with what you've got." Danielle Claman Gelber and Teri Weinberg will also executive produce for Amazon Studios with Clark Johnson attached to direct and produce. (Deadline.com)
IN TREATMENT (HBO) - Liza Colón-Zayas, John Benjamin Hickey and Quintessa Swindell are bound for the show's Uzo Aduba-led revival as Rita, "Brooke's longtime confidant and friend who supports Brooke as she contends with her own demons after a life-altering loss"; Colin, "a charming millionaire beach bum turned white-collar criminal reckoning with all the ways his life has changed following his recent release from prison"; and Laila, "Brooke's distrustful, rebellious teenage client, struggling to carve out her own identity separate from her family's overbearing expectations," respectively. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Wentworth Miller will return as Isaiah Holmes in an upcoming episode of the show's 22nd season. (TVLine.com)
TRUTH BE TOLD (Apple TV+) - The Octavia Spencer/Kate Hudson-led second season of the series has tapped Merle Dandridge as Zarina Killebrew, "Markus Killebrew's (Mekhi Phifer) ex-wife and the mother of his only daughter"; Jason O'Mara as Joshua, "a successful documentarian and Micah's husband"; Alona Tal as Ivy, "Micah Keith's right hand woman"; David Lyons as Aames, "a San Francisco police inspector"; Christopher Backus as Holt Redding, "a mysterious man, linked to both Poppy and Micah"; Cranston Johnson as Moss, "a member of a Louisiana motorcycle club and keeper of many Scoville family secrets"; Hale Appleman as Lachlan, "the slick head of business operations behind Micah's empire"; Anthony Lee Medina as Ramon, "Micah's personal assistant"; and Mychala Lee as Trini Killebrew, "Markus's daughter." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED THE BATMAN PROJECT (HBO Max) - Terence Winter is bowing out as showrunner of the series due to creative differences as "Winter's vision for the drama did not match what [Matt] Reeves and other producers had in mind." The search is underway for a replacement. (THR.com)
YOUR HONOR (Showtime) - Blair Underwood will guest star on the Bryan Cranston-led limited series as Roland Carter, "an investigative reporter and close colleague of Robin Desiato, the deceased wife of Judge Michael Desiato (Cranston)." (Variety.com)
