REVISED: NBC PRIMETIME RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF NOV. 7-13

BURBANK, Calif. - November 15, 2005 - NBC averaged a 3.2 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49 and 8.9 million viewers for the week of Nov. 7-13, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Primetime averages for the week of Nov. 7-13 in adults 18-49 were CBS (4.4/12), ABC (4.3/11), Fox (3.3/9), NBC (3.2/8), UPN (1.5/4) and WB (1.5/4). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (14.5 million), ABC (11.4 million), NBC (8.9 million), Fox (7.5 million), UPN (3.7 million) and WB (3.6 million).

NBC highlights for the week of Nov. 7-13:

* On Tuesday, "My Name is Earl" won its highly competitive time period in adults 18-49, topping Fox's "House," CBS' "Amazing Race" and ABC's "Commander-in-Chief." "Earl" is the current season's #1 comedy, #1 Tuesday series and #1 new series in 18-49 and ranks #11 out of all 138 network programs this season-to-date.

* Also on Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser" scored its highest 18-49 rating and total viewership of the season, delivering NBC's top results in the hour since "The Biggest Loser" finale last January, and "Law & Order: SVU" won its time period in 18-49, total viewers and virtually all key measures, while delivering its largest total viewership since premiere week.

* On Thursday, "ER" hit a new season high in both adults 18-49 and total viewers, winning its time period in adults 18-49. "ER" ranked #8 out of 122 network programs this week in the key demographic of adults 18-49.

* Also on Thursday, "Joey" delivered its highest regular-slot 18-49 rating since last season's finale and its largest total viewership for a regular 8-8:30 episode since last March, and "The Apprentice" hit a new season high in total viewers.

* On Wednesday, "E-Ring" generated its largest total viewership so far and matched its highest 18-49 rating to-date.

Additional NBC highlights for the week of Nov. 7-13:

On Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser" (4.0 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall) scored its highest 18-49 rating and largest total viewership of the season. "Biggest Loser" scored NBC's highest 18-49 and total viewer results in the time period since Jan. 11 (the night of "The Biggest Loser 1" finale). It ranked #2 in 18-49 (only two-tenths of a rating point out of first) and was #1 in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

Also on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" (5.2/13 in 18-49, 11.6 million viewers overall) won its hotly competitive time period in adults 18-49, topping Fox's "House" (4.9/12 in that half-hour), CBS' "Amazing Race" (4.2/10 in that half-hour) and ABC's "Commander-in-Chief" (3.6/9 in that half-hour). "Earl" is the current season's #1 comedy, #1 Tuesday series and #1 new series in adults 18-49. At 9:30 p.m. ET, "The Office (3.8/9 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) retained 73 percent of the "Earl" lead-in, matching its best retention so far this season and winning its time period among men 18-34.

That same night at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (5.2/13 in 18-49, 15.8 million viewers overall) was #1 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "SVU" delivered its largest total viewership since premiere week.

NBC won Tuesday night in adults 18-49 for the seventh time in eight weeks so far this season.

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, "E-Ring" (2.8/8 in 18-49, 9.9 million viewers overall) ranked #2 (tied) in the 8-9 p.m. ET hour among adults 18-49 and won the time period in adults 25-54 and total viewers. "E-Ring" matched its highest 18-49 rating and delivered its highest total viewership to-date.

On Thursday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET, "Joey" (3.1/9 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) hit its highest regular-slot 18-49 rating since last season's finale on May 12 and its largest total viewership for a regular 8-8:30 telecast since March 24. "Joey" ranked a decisive #2 in the time period, topping Fox's "The O.C." (2.6/7 in that half-hour), WB's "Smallville" (2.2/6 for that half-hour), ABC's "Alias" (2.0/6 for that half-hour) and UPN's "Everybody Hates Chris" (2.0/6). At 8:30 p.m. ET, "Will & Grace" (3.6/9 in 18-49, 8.9 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 16 percent to deliver its highest 18-49 rating in four weeks and its largest viewership in six weeks. "Will & Grace" was also #2 in 18-49, solidly outpacing "The O.C." (2.7/7 for the half-hour), "Smallville" (2.4/6 in that half-hour), "Alias" (2.2/6 for that half-hour) and UPN's "Love, Inc." (1.1/3).

On Thursday, at 9 p.m. ET, "The Apprentice" (4.8/12 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in 18-49, out-delivering the hour's third-place program by 167 percent in 18-49 (4.8 vs. 1.8 for Fox's "Reunion"). This was a new season high for "The Apprentice" in total viewers.

That night at 10 p.m. ET, "ER" (6.7/18 in 18-49, 15.44.3 million viewers overall) scored season-high numbers in both adults 18-49 and total viewers. "ER" won the hour in adults 18-49 despite a 113 percent advantage leading into the hour for the CBS competition. (10.2 for CBS from 9-10 p.m. vs. 4.8 for NBC). "ER" built on its lead-in by 40 percent in 18-49.

NBC ranked #2 on Thursday night, outperforming the #3 network, Fox, by 123 percent (4.9 vs. 2.2 for Fox). In total viewers, NBC was also #2, more than doubling the viewership of the #3 network, ABC (11.7 million for NBC vs. 5.5 million for ABC).

On Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period so far this season.

On Sunday, Nov. 13 from 7:10-9 p.m. ET, the special "Penn & Teller: Off the Deep End" averaged a 2.0/5 in 18-49 and 5.7 million viewers overall. From 9-11 p.m. ET, the special "Saturday Night Live in the '80s: Lost and Found" delivered a 3.4/7 in 18-49 and 7.9 million viewers overall.
