OXYGEN TEAMS UP WITH SPORTS ICON FOR NEW REALITY SERIES DEION AND PILAR SANDERS: PRIME TIME LOVE*
Show Follows Unique, Hilarious Home Life of NFL Superstar, His One-of-a-Kind Wife and Five Kids in Small Town Texas
Network Also Picks Up Brand-New True Crime Series Captured, More Seasons of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and Snapped
New York August 7, 2007 Larger-than-life sports star Deion Sanders, his glamorous wife Pilar and their five kids will star in the upcoming reality show Deion and Pilar Sanders: Prime Time Love* (*working title) on Oxygen. Produced by SokoLobl Entertainment, the eight episode series is expected to premiere in February, 2008. The network has also announced that The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency will return for a third season in December, while brand-new true-crime series Captured will premiere in October as a companion to the long-running hit Snapped, now entering its sixth season.
"With fresh series like Prime Time Love* and Captured and returning hits like the one-and-only Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and Snapped, Oxygen continues to carve a new path in television for young women with our bold and compelling personalities and shows," said Debby Beece, President of Programming and Marketing for Oxygen.
Prime Time Love* follows the unique, hilarious home life of sports superstar Deion the only athlete to ever play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series, the five Sanders kids and the woman who holds it all together wife and mother Pilar. Pilar, a former model and glamorous big city girl, is the ultimate fish out of water in her small town of Prosper, Texas: population approximately 2,000. She loves her life, family and her stately home, but wants to step out from underneath her husband's huge shadow and strike out on her own while Deion would rather she stay at home with the kids.
"The Sanders extraordinary home is filled with a lot of love and a lot of laughs," said Beece. "Of course, this family reality show has an Oxygen twist and that's the fierce and fantastic Pilar, who never hesitates to go toe-to-toe with her opinionated husband. Together, they provide a lot of entertainment."
Prime Time Love* executive producers are Sam Sokolow and Rob Lobl (Taildaters, The Kentucky Kid) for SokoLobl Entertainment; Kevin Lee (The Real World, Simple Life, Adventures in Hollyhood) for Tollbooth TV and Deion Sanders.
Captured, another brand-new series for Oxygen, will debut in October. The series is a companion to long-running true-crime hit Snapped, which will begin its sixth season this fall. Each episode of Captured opens with a shocking, actual event an unexplained disappearance, a violent assault or cold-blooded murder. The half-hour series follows the mystery as it is solved, as seen through the eyes of a female involved with the case, such as a friend or parent of the victim, a tenacious investigator or ambitious district attorney. Captured and Snapped are executive produced by Jupiter Entertainment.
The third season of successful reality series The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency is currently in production for ten, one-hour episodes. Season three follows model-turned-mogul Janice Dickinson as she works to expand her Hollywood modeling agency, with some new faces and returning favorites on the roster. Janice has her sights set on starting a Latin division, so finding the hottest Latino models and clients are important priorities for the agency to move forward. With new episodes scheduled to air in December, The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency is executive produced by Stuart Krasnow for Krasnow Productions, Kevin Williams and Janice Dickinson.
