NOIR (Starz) - The Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert-produce drama, a live-action adaptation of the 2001 Japanese anime about two female assassins who team up to fight against a secret society, is reportedly on track for a series commitment. Steven Lightfoot penned the pilot and is executive producing alongside Raimi, Tapert, Joshua Donen and Bill Hamm. No other auspices were given.
ROYAL PAINS (USA) - Kyle Howard and Wilmer Valderrama have both scored arcs on the show's upcoming third season. Howard will play Paul Van Dyke, "a cocky doc with whom Divya (Reshma Shetty) must contend once she begins her new (secret) job at Hamptons Heritage," with Valderrama as Eric, "an art gallery owner who takes a liking to Paige's (Brooke D'Orsay) work... and quite possibly (ahem) more." The new season kicks off Wednesday, June 29 on the network.
