FAITH (NBC, New!) - Nick Hornby's 1998 short story - about a couple whose marriage is being tested by their struggle to conceive but gets renewed faith from the unlikeliest of sources: a frustrated football fan camped out on their roof - is being developed as a multi-camera comedy at the Peacock. Jamie Rhonheimer ("How I Met Your Mother") will pen the half-hour for Universal Television with Karey Burke and Todd Holland of the studio-based Dark Toy Entertainment also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
HOW THE F--- AM I NORMAL (A.K.A. UNTITLED ADAM F. GOLDBERG PROJECT) (ABC) - Adam F. Goldberg's 2011 comedy script - about growing up in the '80s with a highly screwed up but loving family - has found a new home at the Alphabet where it has a pilot production commitment. Sony Pictures Television-based Happy Madison Productions is behind the single-camera project, with Doug Robinson and Seth Gordon executive producing - the latter of which is attached to direct. FOX previously commissioned the script - which had a penalty attached - in August of last year. (Deadline.com)
LOVELAND (FOX, New!) - Danny Jacobson ("Rob") has sold a potential comedy to the network about "a dysfunctional family that runs a Las Vegas wedding chapel." The single-project is set up at Warner Bros. Television with Werner Entertainment's Tom Werner and Mike Clements executive producing alongside Jacobson. (THR.com)
RITTER (NBC, New!) - "Homeland" executive producers Howard Gordon and Alex Cary are looking to import another international format: "Réttur," an Icelandic drama about "a seasoned lawyer with an unorthodox approach who demonstrates his personal contempt for the law by using it as a blunt instrument." NBC has given a script commitment to the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour with a penalty attached. Cary will pen the script with Scripted World's Alon Aranya and Teakwood Lane's Gordon and Hugh Fitzpatrick also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
TROPHY WIFE (ABC, New!) - Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins have landed a cast-contingent pilot order from the Alphabet for a single-camera comedy about "reformed party girl Kate, who finds herself with an insta-family when she falls in love with a man with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives." ABC Studios is behind the half-hour - originally developed for last season - with Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky ("Bad Teacher") also serving as executive producers alongside the duo. (Deadline.com)
UNDER THE GUN (NBC, New!) - Peter Nowalk ("Grey's Anatomy") has booked a new drama at the Peacock about Erin Kain, "a woman who goes to work for the FBI as she struggles to make sense of a terrible event in her past that ruined her life and tore her family apart." Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers are behind the hour, which they'll executive produce alongside Nowalk via their ABC Studios-based Shondaland banner. (THR.com)
UNTITLED CULLEN BROTHERS PILOT (ABC, New!) - Robb and Mark Cullen ("Lucky") have likewise scored a pilot production commitment from the Alphabet for a potential comedy about "a strong-willed, divorced, single mother who has to move back home with her salty, former career-minor-league-baseball-playing widower father and raise her son while navigating her new community and situation as she coaches her son's little league team." The single-camera project is set up at 20th Century Fox Television where the duo will write and executive produce alongside Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED WARREN LIEBERSTEIN/HALSTED SULLIVAN PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Warren Lieberstein and Halsted Sullivan ("The Office") have sold a single-camera comedy to the Peacock about "a divorced father with shared custody of his 5-year-old daughter who moves into a building full of singles and must balance his re-entry into the dating world with being a solo parent." Jon Favreau ("Revolution") is also on board to executive produce the half-hour for Universal Telvision. (Deadline.com)
VANISHING POINT (NBC, New!) - Angela Bassett is set to star in a potential legal drama at the Peacock about "a brilliant yet unsympathetic rainmaker at a powerful New York law firm whose world is suddenly and permanently upended by a health issue." Screenwriter Ben Ripley ("Source Code") is penning the hour, which has a penalty attached with Deborah Spera and Maria Grasso executive producing via their Sony Pictures Television-based One-Two Punch Productions. Bassett then will also receive a co-executive producer credit. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Mitch Pileggi's Harris Ryland has been upped to series regular on TNT's "Dallas" (Deadline.com); Alfre Woodard will guest as Sam Bennett's (Taye Diggs) mother on "Private Practice" (EW.com); John Shea has likewise been cast as the father of Matt Czuchry's Cary Agos on "The Good Wife" while Mike Colter's Lemond Bishop is also slated to return (THR.com, TVLine.com); Gil Bellows is bound for two episodes of "Vegas" as a mayoral candidate who's running against Michael O'Neill's incumbent Ted Bennett (EW.com); Khloe Kardashian is reportedly the front-runner to host "The X Factor" this season (TMZ.com); Wilmer Valderrama will reprise his role as Yoni on "Suburgatory" this season (TVGuide.com); Debra Mooney will recur on "Scandal" as a Supreme Court Justice (TVLine.com); and Chicago sketch comedians Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson have been tapped to join the cast of "Saturday Night Live" this season (TheComicsComic.com).
