DESCRIPTION:
(from FOX's press release, May 2013) Rising and established names in comedy will come together for a hilarious hour of stand-up and scripted entertainment on the SHORT-COM COMEDY HOUR (working title). The SHORT-COM COMEDY HOUR (wt) is a modern take on the comedy variety series, featuring several multi-camera short sitcoms (short-coms) filmed in front of a live audience, as well as musical comedy and stand-alone single-camera pieces from the show's digital library. Serving as a comedy incubator, The SHORT-COM COMEDY HOUR (wt) aims to develop the seeds of brilliant comedic ideas into fully-realized half-hour comedies. The series follows in a long line of comedies that were rooted in stand-up from comedians such as George Burns and Gracie Allen, Jackie Gleason, Jerry Seinfeld and, most recently, Louis C.K. The SHORT-COM COMEDY HOUR (wt) is produced by Generate. Michael Petok, Jordan Levin and Pete Aronson are executive producers. |
