The radio, cell phone, and alternating current electricity have all revolutionized the way humans live and they all have one very important person in common: Nikola Tesla. Tesla, often called the Man Who Invented the 20th Century, was the most famous and perhaps most dangerous mind of his time. In 1943, he was found dead in a hotel room, his safe cracked open, and his research missing. In 2016, the FBI declassified 250 documents that give fresh insight into Tesla's final work and final days. These files reveal new information about a weapon Tesla conceived called the Death Ray and show world superpowers including the US, Soviet Union and Axis powers were all interested in the weapon. The declassified FBI files lead many experts to believe a full investigation is needed to determine what happened to Nikola Tesla. On December 22, 2017, Discovery will air an all-new special highlighting the work of Tesla and his many contributions to communication and transportation technologies. Feldman (Elijah Marcano and Scott Bosely) and Haim (Justin Ellings and Casey Leach) skyrocketed to fame after working together on the blockbuster movie The Lost Boys and quickly became young Hollywood heartthrobs. They collaborated on popular comedies including License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream and basked in being Tinseltown royalty in their early teens. But as their stars rose, their lives began to quickly spin out of control with endless partying and drugs. As their fame and fortune increased, dark secrets haunted them. Young and impressionable, the actors suffered through years of sexual abuse at the hands of industry insiders. With studio offers drying up and their reputations becoming tabloid fodder, Feldman eventually turned his life around by getting sober, getting married and having a son. With the support of Feldman, Haim seemed to be embracing another chance in Hollywood when the two starred in their own reality series The Two Coreys. The new series*, presented by Sir David Attenborough, scored by Academy Award-winner Hans Zimmer and produced by James Honeyborne has already become a major television event around the world. The series will premiere day-and-date in Canada on the BBC Earth Channel. Planet Earth: Blue Planet II takes viewers on a revelatory and magical journey into the mesmerizing world of our oceans - the most undiscovered place on our planet. Our oceans are by turn tempestuous and serene, exquisitely beautiful and bleakly forbidding. They cover 70% of the Earth's surface and hold 97% of all the water in the world. There is more life in the deep sea than anywhere else on Earth. It is said we know more about the surface of Mars than the depths of our own planet. Our final frontier is the deep ocean - Earth's 'inner space'. Ed Carroll, Chief Operating Officer of AMC Networks, said: "Planet Earth: Blue Planet II is rare, event television, an extraordinary series we are so proud to launch as a premiere simulcast across all five of our national networks. AMC Networks prides itself on being a premiere destination for extraordinary storytelling in all of its forms, and this remarkable exploration of our natural world from the BBC is storytelling at its finest." Sarah Barnett, President of BBC AMERICA, said: "This next chapter in BBC AMERICA's nature programming franchise is more incredible than anything yet seen, complete with heart-pounding exploration and incredible cinematography. The experience is a magical and transcendent trip into unexplored worlds."
