First, the "faster-craft" round will be a timed challenge that will test their ability to not only work quickly but imaginatively as well. Next, the Makers will move to the "master craft collection," a one-of-a-kind themed challenge in which the competitors will need to use their expertise and get inventive in order to assemble a winning craft that fits the theme of that week. "Monday nights have become a destination for our character-driven dramas, and we loved the idea of pairing these two series, which are similar in their darkly comedic tone and led by two charming yet complicated characters facing huge life moments," said David Madden, president of original programming for AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. "We're excited to share the next chapter in Jimmy McGill's journey towards Saul on one of television's most celebrated shows, and to introduce viewers to the unfailingly optimistic underdog Dud, who's looking for his place and his moral purpose in a cynical and confusing world." Dud serendipitously finds himself on the doorstep of a rundown fraternal lodge, where a middle-aged plumbing salesman and "Luminous Knight" of the order, Ernie (Jennings), welcomes him into a world of cheap beer, easy camaraderie and the promise of Alchemical mysteries that may - or may not - put Dud on the path to recover the idyllic life he's lost. Additional executive producers include Paul Giamatti ("Billions," Sideways, Outsiders, Hoke), Dan Carey (Outsiders, Hoke, John Dies at the End, All Is Bright) and Jeff Freilich ("Halt and Catch Fire," "Grace and Frankie").

RONNY CHIENG: INTERNATIONAL STUDENT (CC.COM)
· [series premiere] · 8/13/18 at 3:01 AM
· [regularly airs] · mondays from 3:01 AM-3:30 AM EST
(from Comedy Central's press release, June 2018) Comedy Central summer series, Ronny Chieng: International Student, will premiere as the #1 brand in comedy's first-ever app exclusive original series. Beginning Monday, August 13, fans can binge-watch all seven episodes of the half-hour scripted television show, Ronny Chieng: International Student, which will be available to stream exclusively on the Comedy Central App. "We're thrilled to expand our relationship with Ronny and give his fans here in the U.S. access to this truly binge-worthy series all at once," said Tanya Giles, General Manager, Comedy Central. "We've been waiting for the right project to launch in its entirety as an app-exclusive and Ronny's name-recognition combined with the habits of many Daily Show fans who stream it via the Comedy Central App, make this the perfect series to premiere on the platform." Nominated for a 2018 Australian Writers Guild Award, TV Week Australia called Ronny Chieng: International Student "hilarious," Sunday Age deemed it "screamingly hysterical" and gave it 5 stars, while the Herald Sun gave it 4 out of 4 stars and called it comedy "gold." Ronny Chieng: International Student is loosely based on Chieng's real life experience as a Chinese law student in Australia. It's a series about being caught between worlds; between childhood and adulthood, between your old life and your new life, between your parent's expectations and your own dreams - even if you haven't worked out what they are. But mostly it's about the stupid stuff that happens when you're young and don't know what the hell you're doing. In the series, which was co-written by Chieng (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah), Ronny plays a Malaysian student who's come to Australia to study law. He's smart, driven and competitive, which would make him the perfect law student, if he actually wanted to be a lawyer. As viewers follow Chieng from his first day on campus to the final exam of semester, he'll encounter binge-drinking Australians, pompous blazer-wearing private school kids and hyper competitive anti-social Asian students who want him to act "more Asian." A genuine outsider, Ronny is suspicious of any group that wants him as a member - be it the rowdy Australians, the Mahjong playing Asians or the blueblood... idiots. Blunt, barbed and not afraid to cut through the B.S., it's not long before Ronny is at odds with most people on campus.

(from The CW's press release, May 2018) Spencer James is a rising high school football player and A student at South Crenshaw High. Compton is the place he calls home. But when Beverly High School's football coach Billy Baker recruits him to join his team in Beverly Hills, Spencer's mother, Grace, and his best friend, Coop, convince Spencer it's an opportunity he has to seize. Now Spencer must navigate two worlds, the south side neighborhood that he knows and the affluent Beverly Hills world that has offered him an opportunity for something bigger. When Spencer is forced to move in with Billy and his family to protect his transfer permit to Beverly, Billy's son, Jordan (the team's starting quarterback), is less than thrilled to be sharing his father's attention - or the team spotlight - with Spencer. While Spencer struggles to find his footing, he makes an unlikely friend in Jordan's sister, Olivia, who is dealing with her own demons. He also quickly develops a crush on his classmate, Layla, something her boyfriend, Asher, quickly realizes - and so, he sets out to drive Spencer off the football team and out of Beverly Hills for good. Inspired by the life of NFL player Spencer Paysinger. CHARMED (THE CW)
· [series premiere] · 10/14/18 at 9:00 PM
· [regularly airs] · sundays from 9:00 PM-10:00 PM EST
(from The CW's press release, May 2018) "Stronger together." That's what Marisol tells her daughters, firebrand social justice warrior Melanie "Mel" Vera, and her sister, fun-loving Maggie, about their family. Mel is a graduate student in the women's studies department her mother heads at Hilltowne University; Maggie is a freshman considering rushing a sorority (to Mel's amused dismay) and going "on" again with her on-again off-again boyfriend Brian. But then, a shocking tragedy shatters their world and threatens their sibling bond: Marisol dies in a horrifying accident. Or was it? Three months later, we find Mel unable to accept the official explanation of their mother's death, while Maggie accuses her of being morbidly obsessed. And then, another huge shock shows up at their front door: they have an older sister, brilliant geneticist Macy, whom their mother kept a secret all these years! Macy is new in town and doesn't know a soul (except for Galvin, the cute fellow scientist who's been showing her around). Macy is eager to connect with Mel and Maggie, but Mel can't handle another shock, and shuts her out. With the emotions of all three sisters running high, each of the girls suddenly exhibit impossible new abilities: Mel can freeze time, Maggie starts hearing others' thoughts, and Macy has telekinetic powers. But don't worry, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation... or so says Harry Greenwood (who as far as they know is the officious new chair of the women's studies department), when he gathers the three sisters together to reveal they're actually powerful witches, as was their mother. And he's not really a professor, he's their "Whitelighter," a witch's advisor and guide! Not only that, but Mel was right: their mother's death was no accident - she was murdered by unknown dark forces. It's a lot to take in, but ultimately the sisters accept their new destiny as The Charmed Ones... and their new duty to protect humankind from the demons that walk among us... one of whom killed their mother. With the Power of Three, they are stronger together... even if they have no idea what they're really up against. Starring Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, Rupert Evans, Ser'Darius Blaine, Charlie Gillespie, and Ellen Tamaki . Based on the original series, CHARMED is from CBS Television Studios in association with Propagate Content, with executive producers Jessica O'Toole ("Jane The Virgin"), Amy Rardin ("Jane The Virgin"), Jennie Snyder Urman ("Jane The Virgin"), Ben Silverman ("The Office"), Brad Silberling ("Jane The Virgin") and Carter Covington ("Faking It").
