WHEN HER COURTROOM CEILING COLLAPSES, AMY IS ASSIGNED TO TEMPORARILY OVERSEE MINOR OFFENSES IN ACCOUNTABILITY COURT, ON THE SIXTH-SEASON PREMIERE OF "JUDGING AMY," TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

"Accountability" -- Amy is convinced the lenient sentence she handed down in the Casey Ives case, not the collapse of the ceiling in her courtroom, is to blame for her reassignment from Criminal Court to Accountability Court, on the sixth-season premiere of JUDGING AMY, Tuesday, Sept. 28 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. One of the Executive Producers, James Frawley, directed the episode and wrote the script with Co-Executive Producer Carol Barbee.

Amy swallows her pride and begrudgingly accepts a temporary transfer to a lower court after a light sentence made it possible for a young defendant to shoot his family. Meanwhile, Maxine�s frustrations with her office mount when a foster child�s file goes missing due to sloppy filing. Also, Kyle weighs the pros and cons of reuniting with Heather, who returns to make amends after realizing she has a drinking problem.

JUDGING AMY is a drama starring Amy Brenneman as a single mother who has left New York behind to become a Family Court judge in Hartford, Conn. Judge Amy Gray (Amy Brenneman) is divorced and raising her young daughter, Lauren. They live with Amy�s very opinionated mother Maxine (Tyne Daly), a social worker who is often at odds with her boss, Sean (Timothy Omundson). Amy has reestablished relationships with her younger brother, Vincent (Dan Futterman), her older brother, Peter (Marcus Giamatti), and his wife, Gillian (Jessica Tuck). Assisting Amy in the courtroom are her Court Services officer, Bruce Van Exel (Richard T. Jones), and her eager court-clerk-turned-lawyer, Donna Kozlowski (Jillian Armenante). JUDGING AMY, based on the real-life story of Brenneman's mother, is about three generations of women living together as they confront the personal and professional dilemmas in their changing, challenging lives.
