"Jackpot" -- Grissom goes from the bustle of Las Vegas to a small town known as Jackpot, Nev. to investigate a dog's discovery of a human head, on a rebroadcast of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, on a special night, Saturday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Danny Cannon, one of the series' executive producers, directed the episode from a script by Naren Shankar and Carol Mendelsohn, also one of the series' executive producers. Grissom's investigation is met with skepticism from the town sheriff, who begrudgingly assists him. Meanwhile, Catherine's corrupt father, Sam Braun, sends her a check for $250,000, which leaves her conflicted over whether to accept life-changing money for her daughter.
