"Breaking A Slump" -- Pete risks losing his dream job when he attempts to save star player Conrad Dean from a bat corking scandal, on CLUBHOUSE, Tuesday, Sept. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Fred Keller directed the episode from a script written by Daniel Cerone, one of the show's executive producers.
Columnist Steve Rushin (Sports Illustrated) makes a cameo appearance as a sports writer, and sports columnist and television personality Tony Kornheiser (Washington Post, "Pardon The Interruption") appears as a local television sports reporter.
When Dean finally hits one out of the ballpark after a lengthy hitting slump, accusations fly and an investigation ensues over the possibility of a corked bat. In an attempt to protect his idol, Pete takes matters into his own hands and steals the confiscated bat.
