RUSH AND VALENS RE-OPEN A 1992 CASE INVOLVING A YOUNG WOMAN KILLED AFTER LEAVING A POLITICAL EVENT ON ELECTION NIGHT, ON A REBROADCAST OF "COLD CASE," ON A SPECIAL NIGHT AND TIME, SATURDAY, OCT. 16 AT 9:00 PM

"Late Returns" -- A current murder case leads Rush and Valens to re-open a cold case from 1992 involving a young woman killed after leaving a political event on election night, on a rebroadcast of COLD CASE, on a special night and time, Saturday, Oct. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. David Straiton directed the episode from a script by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie. (Originally broadcast 4/4/04)

Seeking a connection between the 1992 death of Vanessa Prosser and the current homicide victim, the detectives find out through an autopsy that the man was Vanessa's biological father. Rush and Valens also discover that Vanessas father was obsessed with finding her daughters killer -- leading them to believe that the same person may be responsible for both murders.
