EMMY AWARD NOMINEE ANNE HECHE, ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE KATHLEEN QUINLAN, JONATHAN LaPAGLIA, ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE CHRIS SARANDON AND EVA LONGORIA STAR IN "THE DEAD WILL TELL," A NEW TELEVISION MOVIE INSPIRED BY THE READINGS OF MEDIUM JAMES VAN PRAAGH, TO BE BROADCAST OCT. 24 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

THE DEAD WILL TELL, a new television movie inspired by the readings of famed medium James Van Praagh ("Living With The Dead," "Talking to Heaven"), starring Emmy Award nominee Anne Heche ("Gracie's Choice"), Academy Award nominee Kathleen Quinlan ("Apollo 13"), Jonathan LaPaglia ("The District"), Academy Award nominee Chris Sarandon ("Dog Day Afternoon") and Eva Longoria (�The Young and the Restless�) will be broadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, Oct. 24 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The supernatural thriller revolves around a young woman whose world is turned upside down when her fianc� gives her an antique engagement ring.

Soon after she starts to wear the ring, Emily Parkes (Heche) begins to see fleeting images of a beautiful young woman who then disappears into thin air. Emily visits the dealer who sold it to her fianc�, Billy (LaPaglia), and learns that its original owner, Marie Sallinger (Leigh Jones), died 35 years earlier. Convinced that Marie is trying to make contact with her, Emily begins to investigate the mysterious circumstances of her death and soon becomes entangled in a series of terrifying circumstances that make her question her own sanity.

Billy's mother, Beth (Quinlan), tries to convince her son that Emily is not stable and that he would be better off without her. But he loves Emily, and though he is very concerned about her behavior, Billy continues to support her. As Emily's visions become more revealing, they lead her to a secret family connection as the afterlife and present day collide.

Chris Sarandon plays Paul Hamlin, Marie Sallinger's lover and a possible suspect in her murder. Eva Longoria plays Emily's somewhat clairvoyant office assistant, Jenny, who helps and encourages Emily during her quest for the truth about Marie's untimely death.

Recently, Anne Heche was nominated for an Emmy Award for "Gracie's Choice," and for a Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in the play "Twentieth Century." Her other television credits include the movie "One Kill," on the Network, "Subway Stories: Tales from the Underground" and "If These Walls Could Talk." Her feature film credits include "Return to Paradise," "Six Days Seven Nights," "Wag the Dog," "I Know What You Did Last Summer," "Volcano," "Donnie Brasco" and "Nine."

Kathleen Quinlan was nominated for Golden Globe Awards for her appearances in the feature films "Apollo 13" and "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden." Her television credits include the movies "Blessings," on the Network, and "In the Lake of the Woods," "Last Light," "Stolen Babies," "An American Story" and "Trapped." Her additional feature film credits include "Breakdown," "Zeus and Roxanne," "Perfect Alibi," "Trial By Jury," "The Doors," "Clara's Heart," "Wild Thing" and "The Last Winter."

Jonathan LaPaglia was a regular on the CBS series "The District." His other television credits include the series "Seven Days," "New York Undercover" and "Law & Order." His feature film credits include "Under Hellgate Bridge," "Origin of the Species" and "Deconstructing Harry."

Chris Sarandon was nominated for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his role in "Dog Day Afternoon." His other feature film credits include "Let the Devil Wear Black," "Little Men," "American Perfekt," "Terminal Justice," "Dark Tide" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas." His television credits include the movie "David's Mother," on the Network, "Race Against Time," "No Greater Love," "When the Dark Man Calls," "Lincoln and the War Within" and "The Stranger Within."

Eva Longoria�s television credits include a regular role as �Isabella� on the CBS daytime drama �The Young and the Restless.� Her other television credits include the series �L.A. Dragnet� and �Beverly Hills, 90210,� and she is currently starring in the new series �Desperate Housewives.�

James Van Praagh is the author of The New York Times best-selling books Talking to Heaven and Reaching to Heaven. He also hosted the television show "Beyond with James Van Praagh."
