"Spectator Interference" -- Lou walks out on his longtime post as equipment manager when upper management insists on changing the way things are done in the clubhouse, on CLUBHOUSE, Tuesday, Oct. 19 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Martha Mitchell directed the episode from a script written by Joseph Dougherty.
Actor Robert Forster ("Jackie Brown") guest stars as Clyde Austin, the Empires new equipment manager.
Lou walks out of the clubhouse and off the job after years of loyal service when Borden, a "suit" from the front office, insists that the teams clubhouse be run more efficiently. When Clyde Austin (Forster) is brought in to replace Lou, the bat boys do everything possible to prove what Lou meant to this franchise by sabotaging Austins efforts. Meanwhile, Mike enters Pete in the schools presidential race without his permission. When Pete agrees to run, Mike develops a campaign based solely on the Empires with high hopes that the connection will score some votes.
