Falk Reprises His Role As The Angel Max

Emmy Award winner Peter Falk ("Columbo," "Columbo: Agenda For Murder"), Golden Globe nominee Katey Sagal ("Married... with Children") and Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard ("Life with Judy Garland: Me & My Shadows") star in WHEN ANGELS COME TO TOWN, a new holiday movie to be broadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, Nov. 28 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Falk reprises his role as the angel Max in this heartwarming holiday drama about two very different families who need his help at Christmas time.

This time, Max's (Falk) job is at stake when his heavenly supervisor, Jo (Sagal), comes to earth to discipline him for contacting the wrong family in need. Max first appears to Sally Reid (Blanchard), a hardworking young woman whose goal is to get a promotion and a raise so that she can get her younger brother out of foster care. Jo tells Max that he made a mistake on the address and should have contacted Karl Hoffman (Seann Gallager), a young man who is about to automate his family's Christmas ornament factory and eliminate its artisan personnel.

As the story unfolds, it appears that Jo may have made the real mistake and that the families may be connected in many surprising ways. She also discovers that she needs Max's help to reunite one family and bring the other closer together in this story of tradition, friendship and love.

The two previous CBS movies featuring Max are "A Town Without Christmas," the most-watched television movie in the 2001-2002 television season, and "Finding John Christmas," the third most-watched television movie of the 2002-2003 season.

Peter Falk is best-known for his Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning role as Lieutenant Columbo in the television series "Columbo," from which successful television films starring him continue to be spun. In addition to the Columbo films, Falk's television movie credits include "A Storm in Summer," "Pronto" and "The Sunshine Boys." Among his feature film credits are "Corky Romano," "Roommates," "Princess Bride," "The Player," and most recently, he is the voice of Don Brizzi in "Shark Tale."

Golden Globe-nominee Katey Sagal is best known to television audiences as Peg Bundy on the hit comedy, "Married�With Children." She currently stars in the television series "8 Simple Rules." Her other television credits include series "Imagine That," "Tucker," "Futurama" and "Mary." Sagal has starred in numerous television movies including "Smart House," "God's New Plan," "Chance of a Lifetime," "Mr. Headmistress," "Trail of Tears," "She Says She's Innocent," "Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme," "The Dream Makers" and "Columbo: Candidate for Crime." Her feature film credits include "Recess: School's Out," "The Good Mother" and "Maid To Order."

Tammy Blanchard is best known for her Emmy Award-winning role as Judy Garland in the television movie "Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows." Her other television credits include daytime drama "Guiding Light" and television movie "We Were the Mulvaneys." She also appeared in the feature film "Stealing Harvard."

WHEN ANGELS COME TO TOWN was produced by Daniel H. Blatt Productions. Daniel H. Blatt ("A Town Without Christmas," "Finding John Christmas") is the executive producer; Irene Litinski ("It Must Be Love") and Ken Gross ("Stealing Sinatra") are the producers. Andy Wolk is directing the drama from a script by Michael J. Murray ("Acceptable Risk"). Wolk, Gross and Murray also served as director, producer and writer, respectively, on "A Town Without Christmas" and "Finding John Christmas."
